This book sounds really familiar to me. I would like the answer too, if anyone knows it.Also, Perla, have you tried posting this at WhatsThatBook.com or BookSleuth? You remember at lot of details; I think that increases your chances of someone remembering the book. I've had people here and on the other two sites I mentioned help me with a lot less information to go on.
