Chapters 1 & 2

These chapters were moderately interesting. Personally, as moderator, I found it a little annoying that the author writes so grammatically incorrect and uses incorrect spelling constantly. I appreciate the realistic speech in the dialogue, but in the narration, not so much. Mae Mobley is quite adorable, and Aibileen is very sweet. This sets the foundation for a book with potential.

I thought the first two chapters of this book were pretty good. I actually enjoyed how the thoughts and words of Aibileen weren't grammatically correct. This made the book feel more realistic and personal to me. I have seen the movie (which is wonderful) and I noticed that most of the important details in the book so far, are displayed in the movie also. Sometimes during the first two chapters though, I had to make myself keep reading, only because there was so much detail that I got bored:/ Overall... This book has great potential:)
