So I saw this on facebook and I couldn't help but go into a math rant because I hate it when things are wrong and I feel obligated to correct them:

(view spoiler)[Today, I had ballet and we were doing sauté arabesques because its in our dance for our showcase and we were rehearsing. The girl in front of me was either late or early, but her door went back right as mine went forward for the next jump (mind you she's in pointe shoes) and now my foot hurts really badly an I don't know if I should be too concerned or not, since this happened at around 11. >_< (hide spoiler)]

Me: They were just flats, but they were really hard around the edges and kind of curled in... My mom has a habit of tricking me into wearing out expensive shoes. If it's one thing I can't stand it's a flat uncomfortable shoe ;___; NO MORE BLISTERS AFTER POINTE. NO MORE.

Ooooooh that sounds really bad D: Massage your foot and make sure all your toes are working properly. The bones are really close to the surface so pain is always magnified around that area. Put it in hot water and wait, it might take a couple days until your foot feels normal again :( That really sucks though, pointe shoes are awfully tough :c

Me: Blaaaaargh D: You just try resting up and I'm sure you'll be good for Thursday :) Foot injuries are the worst though. Since you're on your feet for most of the day it doesn't really help, plus the bones are super fragile, plus there's so little you can do but wait :/

Me: I mean, I think I get it but the way the test asks things confuses me. Like, in H2SO4 + CN- --> HCN + HSO4-
I think that H2SO4 is the Bronsted acid, CN is the base. So the conjugate acid is HCN, and the conjugate base is HSO4?

Me: that's right. ^^ sulphuric acid acts as the acid because it gives an H+ to cyanide.
