THIS AWESOME VIOLINIST CAME TO THE CONSERVATORY AND HE PLAYED SO BEAUTIFULLY I WANTED TO CRY
Me: Probably, but it's still kind of stupid. We have to put together a book of six poems with illustrations for each one, then we have a presentation on a poet where we have to memorise a poem (I'm probably going to pick a haiku), and then we have to write a poem of at least 20 lines and write it on a poster and illustrate that. ;n; ugghh Sra. Costa whyyyyy.
Me: I really hope I don't have her next year.
I can't memorise anything like that. xD Except for music, but that doesn't count.

Me: Is it meant to be a direct translation?
Me: Is it meant to be a direct translation?

@Van - That sounds kinda fun, I hope you at least partially enjoy doing it :D
@Ivi - what other kind of translation could it be?
Me: I mean word-for-word direct translation. Because I know some translators will just do a translation to capture the tone and writing style rather than the direct word choice. weh. That's what we read for Dante's Inferno.

I'm even more clueless, Whim. I'm sixteen and a total introvert; I can't even figure out how to deal with teachers without answering back.
But that's horrible, and Sara's being a bitch. *thousand mile glomp*
Me: for the thing on the other page about the thing and never mind

Me: D: I dunno what happened but I hope you feel better? *hugs Whim* I love you.
So my brother made me do his poetry project for Modern Poetry (for money of course) and I did a painting and analysed it and he looked at me and went, "How are you smarter than me?"

So apparently he got no sleep and crashed the car. I mean, he's fine, but this is his third time falling asleep at the wheel.

- So apparently Brandon told Sara that her actions were inexcusable and immature and she owes me an apology. Her boyfriend, Alberto, was there too, and apparently he was totally silent the entire time. He must be getting pretty sick of his girlfriend's bullshit. Brandon said either you give her an apology or he tells everyone at the party what happened; she said she gives 0 f**ks and she doesn't owe me anything. She got embarrassed and left. Everyone at the party supports me, basically, and they all think she's a horrible person. :)

Me: : D That's great, Whim.

Me: That's what I've told him countless times, but he never learns. You'd think after being sued on account of sleeping while driving he would stop but nope. -.- And the car is so bad.
:D Justice for Whim. Go Brandon~

Haha Jo :P I'm really happy it turned out well, she threw a mini uber-defensive hissy fit within earshot of everyone. Probably won't be seeing her any time soon, as after she left everyone (including her boyfriend) decided that no one would ever be excluded again, regardless of what 1 person thinks. If you're uncomfortable with someone at the party, just don't friggin go.
And yes, go Brandon ^_^
Me: so I'm listening to Doo-Wop because it's my guilty pleasure, and this song came on that goes -
(view spoiler) And I'm laughing because that time during winter break I kept trolling Cecil by leaving with Rosaline. XD

Therefore, good customs were cultivated at home and in service [;] there was the greatest harmony and the least greed [;] justice and good was becoming strong among them [,] not by laws rather than nature. They carried on quarrels, disagreements, [and] feuds with enemies, citizens competed with citizens for bravery. In sacrifices to/of the gods they were splendid, at home they were thrifty, to their friends they were loyal. With these two skills, boldness in war, fairness when peace had come about, they cared for themselves and for the public. Of these I hold the greatest proof(s), that in war ......
