Ok I am starting the book but it is audiobook so I should be done by tomorrow or Thursday. I have never done this with an official thread before. Do I just write comments and thoughts as I go along?
Listening to the second book in this series I forgot about the insightful bumper stickers/tshirt sayings at the begining of each chapter. I love it! They are fun!
I'm listening to the audiobook as well, Megan. :) I just started it so I don't have anything to say, LOL!Just comment when you feel like commenting. Whatever you like, didn't like, etc.
One of the problems I have with this series is that I feel the author spends too much time filling it up with fluff. I mean, why go on and on about the business of the dead guy in Cookie's trunk? That felt like an hour of the audiobook went by with all the hysterics. I felt like screaming...just move the hell on!
Me too! I felt like why does Cookie have an issue with it anyway if she knows what Charlie is. Seemed kind of stupid to me.
No worries! I am kind of a reading addict so don't mind me. I listen all day when I am at work. And next week I won't be working so I will have even more time. So post away and I will comment on your comments where you are in the story! I don't want to ruin if for you. :)
I usually listen at work too but only when I do mindless stuff. Lately I've had to pay attention! But I think I should be able to listen more today. :)
When Charley was rehashing what happened in the last book and was the deal with Reyes, I kept thinking...why is this woman so special? I get so tired of all the 'I'm the only one who can...bla, bla, bla. I really prefer low key heroines.
I sped up the narration and now I'm really enjoying the book.I wish though that every book wasn't Charley running after Reyes. You would think that we had moved up from that.
Yeah it is a little annoying the fawning all over him thing. Besides he isn't even real. I mean he is but he spends more time out of his body then in. He doesn't even talk to her just tries to make out with her and she is acting like it is a relationship. Sometimes I feel like she is a kid in high school by the way she acts and not an adult.
Exactly, Megan. I also don't get why (as he said), she believes everybody but him. If the guy thinks is a good idea to let his body die, what is her problem? It's not as if he cannot move around. But anyhow, after I sped the book, I'm enjoying the quips at the beginning of each chapter. My favorite so far:
Where am I going and what I am doing in this handbasket?
