What Are You Reading?
I finished the Stieg Larsson trilogy on my Kindle and think they are great books, enjoy! I just downloaded my second Kindle library book to my K2 (since they don't have a ton or new releases, an older Linda Howard romantic suspense) and simply love the library lending feature! In Print I am reading The Cut and listening to Rules of Civility
@Melissa I loved The Bone Collector.I'm reading Michael Wallace's The Red Rooster at the moment. ;-) It's based in France during the second world war. I live close to the Normandy Landing Beaches so it's an intriguing read for me.
I just finished Monique Martin's "When the Walls Fell". LOVED IT!I'm now finishing up The Prodigal Son by Dean Koontz. I have to say that it isn't quite living up to what I'd hoped it would be. It's the first book in the series though, and I'm definitely going to read the second to see what happens.
In the evenings, I'm reading Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone with my eight year old son. What a great book!I'm also reading Prince Caspian to my six year old. LOVE C.S. Lewis!
I just finished #7 of 9 of the Myron Bolitar series by Harlan Coben. I'm just getting ready to start Whiteout by Ken Follett. It will be my first Follett and I picked it because 1. it looks really interesting, and 2. it's not nearly as huge as Pillars of the Earth, Fall of Giants, or World Without End, all of which I want to read .. but thought I'd ease myself in and make sure I like him.
On the Kindle I am reading the 2nd book in the Ember series (People of Sparks?) for my library checkout, for what I own I am reading Wolf Mark. In print I am reading The Power of Six, but I think I'm going to go ahead and take it back to work and let someone else check it out since I also have The Maze Runner and Paranormalcy checked out. I'd much prefer to have them on the Kindle...sooo....if you have it to lend.... :) I haven't checked out all the sections on the discussion but would like to post my list of lendables and want to reads.
I'm currently reading Ten Big Ones by Janet Evanovich. I've read the first nine plus Visions of Sugar Plums right in a row so I think I may take a break and read The Hunger Games.
In honor of the Halloween season, I'm re-reading Stephen King's Salem's Lot since it's been so long since I read it.
I have a ton of SK books but haven't read half of them, I have watched the movie IT but never read it so I should read IT for Halloween. :)
Definitely read IT. It's really scary, and my favorite King book!
I'm reading Salems Lot right now too
Looks like everybody is a King fan! I've torn through a few, and they've been great fun. But I've been veering more toward the YA stuff lately.
I love Stephen King... Just finished Salems Lot and now I will start Son of Neptune by Rick Riordan because it got sent to my Kindle a little early :)

LOL Patricia! :D How are you liking SL? I thought it was super eerie and creepy (same thing, right? oh well).

I am reading Die Trying (Jack Reacher novel) by Lee Child. I got it from the Public Library on my Kindle--reading time ends tomorrow but I'm only 22% done with it. :-(

22% done and you have to bring it back? There isn't any way to renew it?? :(

Terri - my advice, do what it takes to get it again! (I love the Reacher books!)Did your library offer different options for the lending period for Overdrive Kindle lending? Mine offers 7, 14 or 21 day periods.

My library only offers the 7 or 14 day option. I use the 14 day. My loan expired this morning around 3am (according to the email I received) but what I've done is turned off the WiFi/3G on both my Kindles so that I can continue to read Die Trying. As long as I don't turn my WiFi, I should be good. :-)
Terri - great idea!! It should work! I returned a Kindle library book and got notice it was gone pretty quickly - I should have left the wireless off and watched for what happened then. I'm a huge Stephen King fan as well! I've been trying to work my way through his books that I haven't read yet.Right now, I'm reading:
The Three Musketeers by Alexandre Dumas
Greand Perdito Street Station by China Meilville
The Night Of The Lonesome October by Robert Zelazny
Macbeth by William Shakespeare
The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon by Stephen King
I'm crazy, right? lol

Oh, yeah. I like to keep things different. I can't even read the same auther....even one I absolutely love, back to back....I can get tired of a genre or author very quickly and then have to take a break from it/them.
Stormi -- Spookier is good for the last few weeks of October! Enjoy It. I am finishing Robert B. Parker's Killing the Blues and listening to Rules of Civility which is a treat, that one is very interesting, a brush with history; then on to Graveminder next, for my spooky read!Stormi wrote: "Now on to somethings a bit spookier" /i>

Wow, you are tearing through those books. Fast reader!
I'm onto the second book in the Millennium trilogy, The Girl who Played with Fire, even though the first didn't exactly thrill me.

I'm reading 2nd Chance by James Patterson. I finished 1st to Die yesterday and absolutely loved it
I just finished Fallen by Karin Slaughter and am now starting Headhunter by Jo Nesbo. I'm 33% into it and it is excellent!! Headhunter
I need to read more Jo Nesbo, Patricia! I really enjoyed The Snowman recently. Karin Slaughter's Grant County books are great! I eagerly await a new one. I am almost finished with Melissa Marr's Graveminder and Nic Pizzalotto's very hard boiled (think No Country for Old Men) Galveston: A Novel.

Ann, I've read The Redbreast, Nemesis, and The Snowman and I have The Devil's Star on my Kindle to read. I think those are all of the Harry Hole books that have been translated to English so far. This one, Headhunter, is an independent book. I'm now about 45% into it and it's excellent!
Thanks Patricia! I have The Redbreast lined up on my Kindle (among quite a few friends in the queue) ;)Patricia wrote: "Ann, I've read The Redbreast, Nemesis, and The Snowman and I have The Devil's Star on my Kindle to read. I am reading Linger by Maggie Stiefvater. Hoping by time I finish I can find someone to borrow me the next book in the series.
