Anne, I don't know if my three books have been shelved properly but my three books read are:Doc (Dodge City)
The List (London, England)
In the Time of the Butterflies (Dominican Republic)
How do I shelve them when I am finished with a book?
Thank you for your help!
 Maude,
Maude, we are shelving books by continent. So, I put In the Time of the Butterflies under North America. The way you do this is, once you have added your book to the general book shelf you will see "Choose Shelves" in Bold. Click on that and you will see all the continents listed. Click on the continent, save and close. If you have any question about which continent your belongs to there is a link in the Discussion Threads under Group Bookshelves which lists all countries by continent. I didn't see Doc or The List. Maybe I missed them. Doc would be listed under North America and The List is under Europe.
Anne, Are you including England under Europe? or under the United Kingdom. The List, except for references as to why refugees came to England, is almost all set in London.

Maude, just for the bookshelves, we are using continents, so it doesn't matter if it's London or England, they are both in Europe.

Do we now have separate folders for England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales), United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland) and British Isles (United Kingdom plus Eire / Republic of Ireland / Ireland)?

Do we also want separate folders for the Channel Islands and Isle of Man?
I will go along with however you all decide to divide it up, but would just point out that the UN recognises two countries: United Kingdom and Ireland, so we need a minimum of two folders for the British Isles.
I have them separated in "My Books". I read British literature more than any other but it is usually about England. I am treating Scotland and Ireland as separate countries. It had not occurred to me (although I do see your point) that we might not do that. Are we supposed to be using UN recognized countries? If so, the UN as it is now or when the book was written?

I was asking because there was a mention earlier in this thread about a limit on the number of folders.
I was asking because there was a mention earlier in this thread about a limit on the number of folders.Ireland is recognised by the UN, but also has a completely separate cultural identity, so it should be separate on both counts.
Scotland and Wales also have their own cultural identity and some books are definitely Scottish or Welsh rather than British, so I can see the reason for giving them their own folders.
As I said, we need a minimum of two folders, the maximum is up to the rest of you.
