If anyone would like to nominate a book for November this is the place to do so.:)
The nominations will go up in a poll, and I will add the November reads based only on the results. If you nominate a book please vote in the poll, as I will be counting only those votes in determining the reads for the month.
If anyone would like to suggest a theme for the month we could try that too, although that might have to wait for December? Any thoughts?

I would like to put up a poll for November reads this week, so if you have any books you would like to nominate please do so soon. :)

If any authors in the group would like us to try their books I'll add them to the poll.

Rachel | 37 comments Are we sticking with books or can we nominate a short story in ebook format?

Oooo, I like the short story idea, provided it's not too short, lol. :O)

Rachel | 37 comments It would be an easy way to try a new genre for those of us you have little time or funds. ;)

Karin | 415 comments Well, I have been told I should read Time's Arrow by Martin Amis (ebook or paperback edition), which I am hoping to start reading in November. I nominate this book for November group read.

I think short stories would be fine. If you have a suggestion that would be great.

I've never really read short stories, but its always good to try new things. :)

Has anyone read The Help? It seems like everyone's reading it.

The Help by Kathryn Stockett

Rachel | 37 comments I read it this past summer and really enjoyed it. It is a thought provoking read to be sure. :)

I have put up a poll for November reads. Sorry it is a bit late. I will leave it up until November 5th. Write in answers are allowed and it will be anonymous.

Since there were only three books mentioned in this discussion I added three more books by authors in the group. The books were randomly selected from authors with more than 5 comments.

The books for the poll are :
Eragon (Inheritance, #1) by Christopher Paolini Time's Arrow by Martin Amis The Help by Kathryn Stockett
Arms of an Angel by Linda Boulanger Tallent & Lowery 13 by Amy Lignor Cancelled by Elizabeth Ann West
