Kelly Hewitt | 1 comments Hello everyone,

I wanted to share my recent Interview with David Ebershoff in which we discuss the catalyst for his book The 19th Wife, his career as an editor at Random House (editing for the likes of Norman Mailer) and his next novel.

Cheers,

Kelly

Hi Kelly,
Welcome to the group -- I see you just joined. I hope you stick around and join in the fun.

We do have many who have read The 19th Wife, and I'm sure we'll find your interview intriguing. David's a great guy; Michael and I had a dinner with him recently and it was a fun time.

Dottie (dottiem) | 71 comments I spent last weekend at Bouchercon in Baltimore - a mystery author/fan convention held annually - so I am deep into the mysteries I brought back. Just finished Every Secret Thing by Emma Cole and really enjoyed it. It's a current day story with the tension created by what happened with intelligence officers during WWII - a very smart woman reporter as the principal character.

And one of my reading groups had an incredibly lively discussion (of the - please let's have just one person talking at a time variety) of A Murder in Amsterdam - the non-fiction story of the murder of Theo Van Gogh by a Muslim extremist.

Dottie, how cool!! I've always wanted to go to Bouchercon.

A Murder in Amsterdam sounds incredible. I love those books where people can't stop talking over each other...
