Janeen-san Yui wrote: "Has anyone read Ida B. yet?"

I totally loved it! In fact I loved it so much I made it a tradition of mine to read it every summer. So far I've read it twice and it's great each time! I'm looking forward to reading it this summer =)

Kasidee i read it it was really good!

Elfiegirl This book was so entrancing. When i read it, it really changed a lot for me. I was homeschooled when i read it, and the idea being launched into public school without any will on my part terrified me.

Rida (Raindrop Reflections) I loved this book. It's sad and amazing and stayed in my mind so long after reading it.

Janeen-san This book was great! I loved it so much the first time I read it, I made it a tradition of mine to read it every summer! I've read it three times. I love being home schooled!!!

Ya is in it lonley for you Janseen-san

Janeen-san Not at all! We are part of a group called the ******** Area Homeschoolers, and its a home-school group of 60 or more families. We all know each other, all the parents know each other, the kids respect the adults and the adults respect the kids--every month we have Classic Movie Night, where we discuss classic movies such as Rear Window. It's super fun! We also do Toastmasters, a speaking organization, and we took a trip to 6 Flags once. And when my brothers, who are Boy Scouts, go to serve at Culver's, many families from our group come to eat while the boys serve us! I love being homeschooled, but I absolutely don't have anything against public school-goers; my cousins and one of my friends go to public school. But, being homescooled is an amazing experience, and its certainly right for us! I don't get lonely at all. =)

Kendall Anne I have been home-schooled for seven years. I really like it. I know plenty of people who are public-schooled, and plenty of people who are home-schooled. Don't think stereotypical. I'm a sophomore in high school, I go to a co-op where I take classes from teachers once a week, and do the homework throughout the week. I am crazy about maintaining good grades, and plan on going to college! Do you understand better, now?

Janeen-san Compared to Kendall's post I make it seem like homeschooling is all fun and games....Sorry :P We have lots of homework and I'm currently buried under a mountain of it.

Thanks, Mays! I'm sure whatever you are doing in your life you'll be happy, too!

What do you mean by that? And who is joy?

MizziQ Joy is an emotion. I mean that if you have joy then no one should be able to take that away from you.

I thought the book would be wierd when my mom made me read it, i loved the book and cried when I read it.

Fatima I read it in sixth grade, I believe. I don't remember too much of it now, but it made me cry and smile and I really liked it. Will definitely be giving it a reread.
