as william finishes his conversation with ubertino he is then entered with another conversation with severinus the herbalist discussing herbs then during the conversation william suspects that severinus gave a evil herb to the monk adelmo which caused him to jump off the cliff and have visions. then william asks severinus to escort him to the library.
