I began listening to this because it is one My Husband had downloaded into my library for his own listening pleasure. I can't say what chapter or page this occurs because I am listening on audiobooks, but I had a bit of a problem with mixing airframes with branches of the military. I am only a Marine wife of the air wing, so I am left wondering what a sniper might pick up on in this book. There is a part he is talking about hellfire and the Marines on the ground calling for support. He says that if a "Marine Apache" isn't close enough they call one of the drones. Apaches are Army, Not Marine Corp. Marines fly Cobras, that'd be AH-1W (whiskey) Super Cobras if you are East Coast, and possibly AH-1Z (Zulu)Viper Super Cobra if you are on the west coast, and are lucky enough to be the ones on the receiving end of the new transition. Bell's website giving specifics on this aircraft, including hellfire abilities is http://www.bellhelicopter.com/en_US/M... This may not matter to anyone else, but the credibility of the scene just goes awry for me. That might just be a personal peeve for me because I am married to a Cobra pilot. However, the pilots and other service members reading this will likely pick up on it too. I don't think it completely ruins the book; it just sticks out like a sore thumb. I have also listened to I Sniper, and thought it was pretty good. Other reviews of it has mentioned errors that were glaring to them, which I didn't pick up on. Of course, as I said, I am only the wife listening to the unabridged version of her husbands book on road trips, not the service member. Who knows what all they pick up on. audience. I know most authors do so much researching their subject matters to make sure their stories are believable. It sure sounded as though hunter had put a lot of effort into researching the UAV's. All it takes to find out what Marines fly is to type, "Marine attack helicopter" into Google. There won't be a single mention of Apache anywhere on the page.
