Jason (foreverjuly) | 41 comments This has got to be some kind of error, and there's no telling how long it'll last, but the entire Hunger Games trilogy has just been discounted 92% to $4.38! It'll save you $50!

Dee (austhokie) | 370 comments mistake or not, I grabbed it - Amazon is really good about honoring prices if there are goof-ups

message 3: by JP (new)

JP Capili (jpcapili) that's a really good deal!!

message 4: by Jason (new)

Jason (foreverjuly) | 41 comments Yeah, it might not be an error. It could be their publisher really trying to capitalize on all the new Kindle sales.

Brandon | 82 comments I had liked the first one and bought it for $5 but held off on the other two books. This price for all 3 is amazing.

message 6: by Jaime (new)

Jaime (bliss4me) snagged it! Great deal!

message 7: by Lahni (new)

Lahni I think the mistake is having a list price for the set that is $54.00 when you can buy them separately for under $20.00. Hmmm..... Less than $5 is fantastic!

Yeah, that is really weird too. Why would it ever be that expensive to begin with? Baffling.

message 9: by Carlyn Jane (new)

Carlyn Jane I'd get it if I didn't already have them. Amazon had a promotion on the Lady Gaga album when it came out, the entire thing was 99 cents. I guess because soo many people were purchasing it, they had a lot of technical issues. I emailed them when I couldn't get all the songs to download (they did eventually) to report the problem. a few days later I got an email from Amazon, they apologized and gave me a $5 Amazon credit! I was pretty dang happy.

That's awesome, Carlyn. Amazon customer service really is amazing, and they bend over backwards all the time to make people happy. I had a friend of mine set his Kindle on top of is car and break it when he drove off, and they still replaced it.

Dani Landry (danilandry) I just checked it and it's back to $17.85. I would have grabbed it at the $4.38 price even though my daughter and I already read it due to the fact that we borrowed the books and I have two other kids that will want to read them someday. :(

message 12: by Carlyn Jane (new)

Carlyn Jane yeah i just saw the price went back up. I wonder if the under $5 price was a mistake?

Jason (foreverjuly) | 41 comments Yeah, party's over. Maybe there'll be some kind of news story about it. I'd be interested to know what the deal was.

Niki Sorensen (littletree) Was it ever on sale, or was it just a mistake?

message 15: by Mariya (new)

Mariya (cr6zym0nkeyiz) | 3 comments It was on $4.38. I seen it a few hours ago at that price.

The mystery is still out, though I suspect they did this on purpose. Everyone who bought the new Kindles had access to those devices on their accounts already, so why not add a popular title they already had the print books for? Or one that they'd heard about and knew was good?

message 17: by Lori (new)

Lori | 3 comments Now it is up to $17. Missed it.

message 18: by Amy (new)

Amy (mary6543) | 14 comments I snapped it up. I had put off buying it.

I personally think this is a tactic to get people checking amazon for deals more often. I know I have been checking a lot since they started the daily deal.

message 20: by Kathy (new)

Kathy (mrsworldwidewebb) I saw it and I missed it..Lesson learned, get it on the day YOU SEE IT! sigh...

message 21: by Jason (new)

Jason (foreverjuly) | 41 comments Yeah, I think Amazon is conditioning us all into becoming compulsive shopaholics.

message 22: by Kathy (new)

Kathy (mrsworldwidewebb) I agree Jason..LOL I think so too! and mine I am trying my best NOT to do that!
