Yeah, its hopefully going to be a full time job eventually. Not really happy where I'm at, but definitely can't afford to let it go! Hope you find something soon!

MMmmm....well I have sent my application off yesterday so will keep you all up to date on my offers and rejections!
Could I make a suggestion? When you ask for nominations, would you please give us any guidelines we're supposed to follow? I'm new here and have no idea if there are parameters. For example ... Do we nominate ONLY classics? What's the definition of a classic? Does the book have to be 100 years old? 50 years old? 25 years old?
There are alot of GREAT books for discussion, but not all of them are classics. Don't want to nominate something that doesn't meet the group guidelines.

Hi book concierge, our group read is always a classic, as we are trying to ease beginners into reading classics through group discussion and of course those familiar with classics join in too! See our Defining a Classic page, and you will see there are no strict rules of what a classic is, and alot of controversy.

I participate in several groups - both on Good Reads and other bookish sites. If I'm not paying attention I might just recommend a current book, which sort of defeats this group's purpose of encouraging a reading of the classics.
Well I have some news...I have an offer for Leeds universtiy! The offer is for grades AAB though this means I will be going to uni next year!! :D It is my second choice but still a fab uni, haven't heard from my first choice yet but fingers crossed!
Congrats that is an awesome uni and the nightlife is the best! You will be really happy there! Well done :-)
Congratulations, Nicolle!
Book Concierge, if you want to err on the side of caution, nominate an older book.

Congratulations Nicolle...I am so happy for you!!!
I think due to the amount of reads we have done that we have been going for almost a year...I'm thinking we should do something special??
Thanks Jill...PM Nicolle and get the low down from her....
-------- NEW SCHEDULE -------April - Kwesi

Hope school is going well...any exams this year?
How're you doing Danielle?
Papers are everywhere, I'm out of pen and textbooks are breaking into pieces. We are currently celebrating our Foundation Week and exams next week. I'm exhausted, haha. So how's school Nicolle?
Sounds like you are run off your feet!I have just done my Jan exams and I felt that they went quite well...result in March so we shall see then if I need to resit or not.
Have an interview for the university that I want to go to the most in a couple of weeks so I'm very nervous about that...I sent them an email the other day and it has a spelling mistake in which I noticed literally as I pressed the send button...so they may now decline me on the fact that I can't spell!!
I am desperate to go there so it would be a shame if that was my flaw to get me rejected.
Anyway...back to normal lessons now and doing core maths which is always fun :P reading Hamlet for English.
