Miss Paola (thepuertoricanone) ((First person is confusing when rping. Maybe we should do third... I'm a shape-shifter))
Paola slipped through the trees in her falcon form. She loved the feel of the air in her powerful wings as she flew.

Michelle (phillip_arthur_russell_iv) ((u don't have to do it in first-person, it can be in third person, whichever you want :) ))

message 55: by E.J. (new)

E.J. (ejschoenborn) ((sorry, I was going to kill this one through whoever the reaper was and tell Mysterie to warn the village that the monsters were coming))
I kept walking, listening for sounds of the monsters and creatures of the forest, even though we were already within the circle of enchantment that prevented them. A few leaves were blackened and curled up on the ground. The trees that held them were gnarled, ashen, dead...

message 56: by [deleted user] (new)

I bit my lip, clinging to Ej's arm as I looked at the dead trees and plants. "What.... what could have done such a cruel thing? My poor sisters..."

message 57: by E.J. (new)

E.J. (ejschoenborn) "I do not know," he said nervously. "It looks like it's the work of a... but no, that's impossible."

message 58: by [deleted user] (new)

I gasped, seeing a tree that had been a friend of mine dead. "No! Aeraea!" I began crying, both sad for the loss of my friend, and terrified that whatever had done this to her, would do the same to me.

message 59: by E.J. (new)

E.J. (ejschoenborn) He turned to Mysterie, "Run! Go back to the village and warn them that the circle is down. No one is safe. They are coming for us."

message 60: by [deleted user] (new)

I nodded. "Be careful, Uncle EJ! If you don't come home I'll never forgive you!" I turned and ran for the village, terror lending me speed.

message 61: by E.J. (new)

E.J. (ejschoenborn) "Oh, but my dear, I don't believe I will ever see you again," he smiled at her back as she ran away. "For if I am correct, this is a reaper which means that I will be fighting for my life."

message 62: by [deleted user] (new)

I cried as I fled, knowing in my heart that I might never see him again. He was the closes thing to family I had left, after my parents were killed in a fire.

message 63: by E.J. (new)

E.J. (ejschoenborn) EJ's limbs creaked like wood bending in the breeze. He looked around hastily checking for the reaper he believed to be in the forest.

message 64: by [deleted user] (new)

I had to bite my lip hard to keep from screaming when I saw the village. I hid amongst the trees, terrified. The village was on fire.

message 65: by E.J. (new)

E.J. (ejschoenborn) Smoke plumed out from where the village was located. "The village!" he shouted as he tried to run to the village, but his limbs were creaking and old.

message 66: by [deleted user] (new)

I was paralyzed by fear, staring at the fire. She screamed as a human grabbed her from behind, forcing her around. I stared, wide-eyed, into the face of a barbarian. He forced me to the ground.

message 67: by E.J. (new)

E.J. (ejschoenborn) EJ had finally reached the village and saw Mysterie pinned to the ground. "Get off of her!" he screamed as he tossed an ax into the man's back. Little did he know that one was behind him and he was set alight. The fire easily started and began to lick up his legs and go to his chest.

message 68: by [deleted user] (new)

I screamed. "Uncle EJ!!" I tried to get the barbarian's body off of me, but it was too heavy. Suddenly I was grabbed by my hair and dragged away. "No! Let go of me! EJ!!" I gasped in pain as my captor backhanded me, then tossed me over his shoulder.

message 69: by E.J. (new)

E.J. (ejschoenborn) EJ saw them take her as the last lights in his eyes dimmed and he whispered her name, "Mysterie...."
With his last breath he sent out his spirit to take the form of a different being to save her. First he had to find a body though and by then she'd be gone.

message 70: by [deleted user] (new)

I sobbed as I felt EJ die. "No......." I sobbed histerically, beating my fists against my captor's broad back. I gasped in pain as I was dropped onto the cold, hard stone floor of one of the few stone houses in the village. The barbarian pinned me to the floor. I could see other men watching my captor. I struggled against him as he pulled his pants down and climbed on top of me. He pushed my skirt up and raped me, laughing as I screamed in pain.

message 71: by E.J. (new)

E.J. (ejschoenborn) EJ flew through the forest until he came across one of the supernatural creatures of the forest, an uberwolf (german werewolf) and began to take control. It took little time to overpower the daemon controlling it, but the wolf was hard to control.

message 72: by [deleted user] (new)

I lay limp on the floor, sobbing, as the men each took a turn with my body. When they finally finished with me, I was dragged away to a small closet and locked inside. I lay curled on the floor, whimpering and wishing they had killed me instead.

message 73: by E.J. (new)

E.J. (ejschoenborn) EJ began to trot as fast as his new body could muster in wolf form to the village. A stone house was nearby and the barbarians were leaving, laughing with each other. He walked up to them and began to tear them apart, a slash here, a bite there, and an arm through the last one's chest. He walked into the house and heard sobs.

message 74: by [deleted user] (new)

I heard footsteps coming towards the door and cowered as far from it as I could. I could feel the bruises forming on my face and body, and I hurt so badly between my legs it was as if they had shoved a red-hot brand into me.

message 75: by E.J. (new)

E.J. (ejschoenborn) He ran to the closet and tried to open it, but it was locked. He clawed carefully at it and managed to create a weak spot. He punched it and broke the door down. Inside, huddled in a corner was Mysterie. "Mysterie, it's me. EJ," he said.

message 76: by E.J. (new)

E.J. (ejschoenborn) ((Now I have to Go, school tomorrow))

message 77: by [deleted user] (new)

I looked up at him, whimpering. "EJ? But.... I felt you die....." I slowly, carefully stood and staggered over to him, crying. I hugged him tightly. "I was so afraid...... They... they hurt me.... down..... down there... it hurt so much...... every time I thought, 'maybe it's over now, maybe now they'll kill me or let me go', another one would come over and hurt me...."

message 78: by [deleted user] (new)

((bye.... See you tommorrow!))

message 79: by E.J. (new)

E.J. (ejschoenborn) "Shh, it's okay. You're safe now. Those savage mongrels are dead now, they can't hurt you. This should never have happened. The circle shouldn't have fallen. The village should've been protected," he hugged her close.

message 80: by [deleted user] (new)

I hugged him, crying myself out on his shoulder. "How could they be so mean?" I sniffled, wiping my eyes. "I hate humans...."

message 81: by E.J. (new)

E.J. (ejschoenborn) "Those weren't humans. They were the barbarians from the east. The circle kept them away, but now it's down and much worse creatures are coming: gorgons, minotaurs, dragons, goblins, reapers, and other things. I'll protect you for as long as I can in this body, but once it dies you are alone until I find another," he told her.

message 82: by [deleted user] (new)

I whimpered. "No! I don't want you to die again!" I cuddled against his chest, shaking. "What if they kill my tree? If it dies, I'll die..."

message 83: by E.J. (new)

E.J. (ejschoenborn) "If they don't know which tree is yours, they can't target it so it's best to not single it out in any way," he strategized. "If the circle is down, then that means we have to start it back up, but I don't know how."

message 84: by [deleted user] (new)

I sighed sadly. "Me, neither..." I bit my lip. "Can we go home, please? I can still smell the fire..."

message 85: by E.J. (new)

E.J. (ejschoenborn) "Of course we can," he whispered and put her up on his shoulders. "Up you go."

message 86: by [deleted user] (new)

I giggled as he swung me up onto his shoulders. "I love you, Uncle EJ."

message 87: by E.J. (new)

E.J. (ejschoenborn) "I love you too," he said. "Now hold on tight, we have to be quick if we don't want other creatures to follow. It's a good thing I found a faster body."

message 88: by [deleted user] (new)

I nodded, clinging to him. "Okay." I smiled, the horror of the last few hours temporarily forgotten.

message 89: by E.J. (new)

E.J. (ejschoenborn) He sprinted quickly through the trees, bent over to try and keep Mysterie's face away from the branches. These wolf limbs really came in handy. A quick leap over a stump, a skip over a fallen tree, and a few more steps.

message 90: by [deleted user] (new)

I giggled, loving the wind in my hair. I buried my face in his fur, breathing in his scent.

message 91: by E.J. (new)

E.J. (ejschoenborn) They were home. It used to be a tree, but had somehow bent over and the branches now created a lovely abode and stuck into the ground. It was well-hidden and could never be found. The leaves created a sort of blinds and inside there was plenty of hand-made furniture. Everything looked very natural so that if it was somehow found, it looked like an amazingly natural wood creation.

message 92: by [deleted user] (new)

I slid down off of his back and hugged him. "I'll make dinner!" I ran inside, happy to be home.

message 93: by E.J. (new)

E.J. (ejschoenborn) "Aw, such an eccentric child," he laughed, but it came out more like a howl. "Oh, got to control that."

message 94: by [deleted user] (new)

I giggled, making a frout salad for myself and some stew for him. I brought him the bowl of stew.

message 95: by E.J. (new)

E.J. (ejschoenborn) "Thank you," he said as he grabbed the bowl and looked at his shaggy hands, the claws jutting out of the nails. He almost dropped the bowl of stew. I'm going to have to get used to this body

message 96: by [deleted user] (new)

I giggled. "Careful!" I kissed his cheek, giggling again as his fur tickled my nose.

message 97: by E.J. (new)

E.J. (ejschoenborn) "I'm trying," he said. "I'm still getting used to this new body. Did you see anyone else at the village? Did anyone else survive that you know of?"

message 98: by [deleted user] (new)

I shook my head sadly. "There was so much blood, and so many bodies.... They were so torn up I couldn't recognise them...."

message 99: by E.J. (new)

E.J. (ejschoenborn) "Oh dear," he whispered. "Perhaps some escaped, although I doubt many did."

message 100: by [deleted user] (new)

I nodded sadly. "I hope some of them got away, at least...."
