a snow cruncher, once fearsome,
now a rug muncher.
The hunger! One thing
could stanch it: wine and a plate
of steaming Blanchett.

And sweet heat for my pursed lips,
Two cookies in hand."
wait, did you change it to cookies?"
Yes. ;-)

I preferred cookies to muffins, and so also changed the pronoun to 'my', even though adding the pronoun is a bit antithetical to proper Haiku, but... :-) [Shrug.]

Eight sea nymphs guarding,
their chests rotting; gold pieces
haunting divers' greed.
