Mark Capell (mark_capell) | 2 comments I'm an ex-TV Director so when I wrote my first novel, 'Run,Run,Run' I wanted to make a good book trailer. But I also came up with another idea. How about taking some extracts from the book, as voice over, and adding video to them.

I'd be delighted to hear what you guys think of them. They're at www.run-novel.com

Reena Jacobs (reenajacobs) | 66 comments The first one, it seemed like the "he didn't think twice" examples went on a bit long.

I liked the second through fourth videos. I think it might be stronger without some of the captions though. Maybe single words instead of full sentences? Three words max.

Overall, I like what you're doing with the book trailers. Excellent idea. If thrillers were one of my preferred genres, I'd likely give Run, Run, Run a shot.

Veronica Noechel (everonicanoechel) Very cool promotion idea, especially for an action novel, since I'm sure a lot of action movie fans aren't really aware of the genre. I liked the first 3 videos a lot. The fourth was too wordy with not enough visual movement for an action story, I thought. My favorite? The second one. But I'm a serial killer/true crime novel junkie and art dork so of course that would be the one that grabs my attention. I'd also consider re-ordering the videos. The first two share a lot of the same clips, so I'd move them further apart, maybe make them 1 and 4 instead of 1 and 2. The production value is great. Nice job!
