"I understand," Cleo chuckled. "Say, Maddie, I hate to bail, but I've got to go find another computer to use. There's some homework I really need to get done." The blonde arose and pushed in her chair. "I hope you and I cross paths again."

Jayli walked in and started looking for a book for her history project. When was the era of the Salem Witch Trials?

She finds a book with a black cover on the Salem Witch Trials. Perfect research for her history project. She heads over to a cushy chair in a dark corner.

They finally arrived at the huge doors of the library. Emilia glanced at Hans. "here we go!" she push the double-doors as wide as she could. Hans eyes widened. "wow! and I thought our library was huge!"Emilia laughed at his amazement "well, come on. we're going to the fictional section."
Jayli saw Emelia and some new kid pass by. She wondered who that other guy was.
Emilia glanced at Jayli and smiled. then she led Hans to her favourite spot, next to the wall, in the fictional aisle.
Jayli ignored them and read her book. She had a friend, she didn't need to put the stakes of losing all her friends again too high.
"here" said Emilia, handing him a thick book. "this is my favourite." then she pulled out another book, sitting down next to him. "enjoy."
Jayli pulled out a notebook and began taking notes for her project.

Jayli wondered why Emelia always smiled at her. I mean they barely even knew each other and Jayli liked it better that way, not cuz she had anything against Emelia, but because she herself wanted her friends few and far between.

Em glanced at Hans. He seemed to be frowning furiously at his book. "uh...anything wrong?" Hans jumped, then blushed. "No, i just thought that this part was quite inappropriate to put in a story for all to see."Em looked over and laughed. it was a kissing scene. "well, every woman these days love that sort of inappropriate content" she said, mimicking his accent.

Emilia grinned "nice guess. He just wanted to read our 'modern tales'."
"I'm Emilia Kassadin." she shook hands with the girl. "And this is Hans" she gestured in Hans' direction
Jayli stayed silent. She knew she was gonna tell them she knew but she didn't kniw what to say next. Keeping ti the shadows was more her style that acutually keeping a conversation.

Emilia held her hand for about a minute, then when the girl refused to touch her, she let her hand drop. "so...What are your names?"
"Haven." Haven said again, but smiled.
"Baron Jay-Lee, but just call me Jayli or you'll find your shadow against you." Jayli didn't smile. It wasn't her thing.
"well then, nice to meet you guys." smiled Em.
"Ditto. So, how long have you been here? At NGA?"
"um...hm, well they kinda found me wandering about...beginning of last year? And Hans here is just visiting from the past."
"Huh? Visiting from the past? What do you mean?"
"i brought him here from the Medieval Times..."
"Wow. But isn't that like bad for the future and stuff? Sorry, I didn't mean to make it sound bad. Is that your power?"
"Yeah, i can time travel and make time go faster or slower...how bout you?"
"Cool. Well, when I touch someone, I can foresee their death and future. I can also change the outcome of the future, but that causes me immense pain."
"Yeah. And I'm that freaky girl whi makes shadows real." To emphasize her point she made her shadow into a solid black replica of herself. It extwnded it's hand as Jayli said, "Nice to meet you,"
