Aaliyah slapped her forehead with her palm. "Oh gosh, sorry for ruining the mood. It's fine, really."

Anoth nod. "Yes. I like to make things, you see. Little drinks, so to speak. I have to put the recipes somewhere, don't I?" Ruby glanced down at her book and then back to Tyson, wondering if he was going to ask to see it. She didn't really mind, but he seemed a little nosy all the same. Probably not the kind of person she'd want snooping around in her potions book.

"As in a day? A week? I've been here for two days."
Michael looked at her in surprise. "And no one has told you how to go about in this school?"
Aaliyah shrugged. "I haven't really been paying attention, actually. I'm sure someone has along the way, I just don't remember."
Michael nodded. "I see. So, uh, what are your powers?"
"You know me?" A bit of delight seeped into those words and Ruby smiled. "But yes, I'm Ruby. And I have been around here for a bit."
"Just about. As long as I mix them right. Why, are you interested in one?"
"What are you looking for?" Ruby felt stirrings of curiousity rising at the boy's request. No one had asked her for a potion in a long time, what could he possibly want?
Ruby raised her eyebrows. "I'll see what I can do for you. Tell me about the memory. How big is it? How painful? How long do you want to forget?"
"Are you sure? Forever's an awfully long time, you know. And once the memory's gone, there's no getting it back. You might regret it later on." Ruby's lips again puckered into a little frown. She wondered what was troubling the boy, why he wanted to forget something forever, not just wait until he could deal with it.
((Sorry I poofed, I was writing a blog post.))Ruby hesitated. "Well...if you're sure. We'll need to talk about payment before I can start with your potion. I want a decent price for it, as it's going to be big and take a couple days to make. What can you give?"
"I'll accept just about anything, as long as I think I'm getting a fair deal. Again, what can you give?"
A pause. "So...you could get me home to see my dad? The mansion's about a mile and a half from here."
Ruby felt her heartbeat quicken. Back to her father...it would be a miricle. They didn't like people leaving the Academy unsupervised, and she was ninety percent sure they didn't want very many home visits to occur. But if this boy could get her there and back unnoticed..."Can you explain my absence too?" she asked hesitently. "Tell everyone I'm just keeping to myself for a day or two, and not to come looking for me?" She was pushing it. But if she could see her father again, that wouldn't matter. Hopeful eyes trained themselves on Tyson.
"I thought you'd say that." The words came out a sad sigh. "But that's okay. Transport to the house and back will be good enough. I'll only be gone a couple hours, and if anyone misses me, I can just make something up."
"Whoa, tomorrow? No, not so soon. I'll need a few days, at least. It has to be rainy out when I mix the potion. Can you look up when the next storm'll be coming in?" She glanced at the computer. "I have to plan everything out before I go ahead with a deal, or something may go wrong."
Ruby mentally counted things off on her fingers. "Let's see...rainy day, payment, ingredients. Yes, I think that's everything. I'll let you know when the potion is ready."
"There's one more thing I need to ask you, though."
"If you tell me your memory, I can write it down for you. Record it, in case you ever want to try and remember again sometime in the future. Would you like that? It would probably be for the best."
"That would be a good idea," said Ruby agreeably. "Sometimes when I make people forgetting potions, they come back to me later, after years or even a time as little as months have passed. They beg me for their memories back, but there's nothing I can do for them. It's sad. I don't want that to happen to you."
"So it's settled then. You'll write down your memory. I'll brew you a forgetting potion when it rains and get it to you in a few days, and before you drink the potion you'll get me to my dad's house and back. Then I'll give you the potion and we can both get on with our lives, hopefully as happier people. Sound good?"
Ruby smiled at him and shook his hand, shaking it firmly. "Glad I could help. I'll see you soon, eh?"((Fade?))

"Oh, I can control air. It's quite fun to use if I want to fly around," Michael said casually.
"That certainly sounds like a wonderful pastime." Aaliyah smiled back. "I can just make it snow or rain when I feel like it."
"Oh, I love snow and rain," Michael exclaimed and then was given a stern hush from the librarian at the front desk. Michael made an apologetic wave.
He smiled over to her sideways. "Maybe we should take this conversation somewhere else where I can exclaim freely," he suggested.
Aaliyah smiled. "Why not? How's about... the... the... I don't know."
"Hmm... How about we go to where we can meet other people?" Michael thought out loud.
"Like... where?" Aaliyah wasn't good at finding places where she could meet people.
((Where is everyone rp-ing?))Michael held up a finger. "One moment. An idea will come to me soon."
((le Forest))Aaliyah smiled. "Nice," she said again.
His eyes lit up. "There's a forest here, right? Maybe we can go there."
Callie glared at the window in the upright corner of the room. It seemed useless for her to be here anyway.

Callie was walking in the general direction of the window. While still looking at it, she walked, and ran into a bookshelf. She banged her head on the shelf. "Ow!" she muttered and rubbed her forehead.

Callie sighed, How do I always manage to look like a fool when he's around? She looked over at him,"I know, I was looking at something...and well..it kind of hurt."

Callie smiled a little, "Not a whole lot of things. Just trying to find my way around..." She paused for a brief moment,"What about you?"

Callie smirked a bit,"Books aren't boring if you pick the right ones, and friends? You have friends already? Seems a bit off to me." She stuck her right hand into her back pocket.
