((Actually, you're welcome to pop in here. Benedict just got smacked down in a serious way, and must continue his quest to discover the true location of math class.))
He almost smiled, shocked as he was by her general unfriendliness. Two could play at this game, however. "Yes," he said, simply.

Rinette moved her fingers apart to glance at him between them. "What a beautiful answer," she said with another sigh.
((Don't be sorry- it's hysterical.))
"Agreed," he said, now smiling broadly. "I'll figure it out somehow or another- won't keep you any longer." He found himself recording her facial features for later use in art- such striking violet-silver eyes! "Unless you want to bandy about more monosyllables."

Rinette nodded, pulling her hand off her face. "Do you know any really good ones to use when people try to converse with you? I don't know any good ones to fend them off."
"A random noise usually works- though it gets you labelled as insane. Or say something about how badly you need to go to the bathroom. Only single words I can think of are curses. 'Indeed' just leads them on." He shrugged. "Doesn't always work, if the person's determined enough. Experience. You?"
"I wouldn't either- I'm non-confrontational. Unless cornered, I run," he confessed. "Or just stand there and nod politely. You're new too, then?" Benedict took a quick glance around the library, still not seeing any signs of an impending math class.

"I dunno. Someone said there weren't really classrooms- for the usual subjects, I mean. They're either in here or the study room. Classrooms are for the... special subjects." Benedict raised an eyebrow expressively.

"In here? Or does it say?" Once more, he was trying desperately not to smile- no use gloating and creating an enemy of someone originally determined to avoid him.
"Psh, go on ahead. They're probably lenient on the first day anyway- and you can claim to not know where to go. As for me, I think I'll explore a bit, and hope I don't blunder into the math class by mistake." Benedict smiled, taking a step backwards.

"Hello. May I help you?" The words that should have been warm came out coated in ice, the lips forming them set in a frown of disapproval.

((So much for interesting. :P))

Michael leaned closer to the screen of the computer monitor, occasionally moving the mouse in clicking furiously.

Aaliyah slowed down as she passed a boy on the computer. She raised an eyebrow in curiosity.
