Just to let you know, I have a Goodreads giveaway going on at the minute. Seven copies of Flux are up for grabs.

I've just passed that point too. Lucky for me I was on the bus, not in front of a meal.

Nah it doesn't matter really, it's a bit of a laugh, I get to read an excerpt to hubby and enjoy seeing his disgusted face lol !

My long term ambition is to walk onto a bus and see someone reading one of my books. I'm allowed to dream...

You should get some paperbacks for sale in your local Waterstones, that might help :)

I'm still to read Tollesbury times but have heard very good things about it. It's on my Kindle waiting to be read so I will soon. Thanks for reminding me.
Anyway. I'm glad you liked it.

I'm also thinking about having a kindle freebie for Flux over Halloween.

Review!

Thanks

I also found the one where he shoved all the stuff in the bath memorable - and the one with Bert yokking over his bed - how many favourite scenes can I have? ;)

I don't think the next book will be ready until mid 2013, and am aiming for the first draft to be finished by Christmas. It would have been sooner but I think I've scrapped around 50,000 words because I didn't like where the story was going. I'd rather it be right, I want to make this one as good as I can.

It's a very different book to Flux, even my writing style has changed, I think. It's still very much in the Horror vein but with an element of fantasy. Essentially, it's a story of possesion (of the supernatural kind) and lust for revenge.
Lots of hard work needed now to hopefully make it good!

Off you go and do that hard work!

But when I've read a book I've really enjoyed, I remember the overall feeling of reading it. Flux was one of those. If I didn't have a monstrous tbr list, I might read it again. But I'm not sure I want to as it was the freshness that made it so good.
