I dislike it because its rlly very over rated and then you have these crazy fan girls running at Rob pattinson (who looks like he just flew into a window) and making him jump in front of a cab to escape them (YES that did really happen. google that shit).
AND TWI LOVERS ARE NOT TAKING OVER

Theres this whole big thing about it, when its not even that good!
Harry Potter on the other hand, is the exact opposite.
You never get bored of it.

duh. EVERY movie is better than the twilight movie. the Harry Potter movies are especially kick ass, though

The first time i read twilight, i was like, "this is awesome!" but i thought about it and heard what twilight haters had to say and.... i agreed with everything. so now i've read all of the books and i don't know which side to choose. can someone please convince me why i should love it or hate it?
please help!!!

I used to be one of those crazy fangirls that would be like "I LOVE TWILIGHT!" "OMG ROB P IS SOOO HOT!!!!!!" "BELLA AND EDWARD ARE SO CUTE TOGETHER!" But finally, all that changed.

So I suppose I have to wonder with the rest of you, is it that you hate twilight on principle, or that there is something aside from Bella’s terminal stupidity, and Edward’s over the top stalker like persona that bothers you? Would you have liked the story if Bella had been better written, developed more through the course of the books? Would it have helped if Edward was not taking stalker 101 classes in the first novel?

Yes it would have been better if those errors didn't happen.

The funny thing is that in my experience, which is in no way expansive, things like this should have been caught and brought to the authors attention long before the book ever made it to print.
Now perhaps the publish really didn't see these things as issues, or figured that Twilight would not sell well enough to warrant the work who knows, but it seems strange that in subsequent volumes some of the issues were not addressed.

It would have been a different book true, with those improvements, but than new moon, eclipse and breaking dawn would have perhaps been bearable.
The only thing I didn't really mind was what she did to the vampires. I mean okay the idea that they sparkle was a little over the top, but not having proper fangs didn't really bother me, nor did the alterations that becoming a vampire seemed to afford the characters. I actually sort of thought it was a neat way to create a new species of monster.
I like vampire novels in general, so being introduced to creatures that are worlds away from the original vampire concept is not bothersome for me. I find it interesting as rule, as long as the author sticks by the rules once they've been created. No half breed brats.
I find that this is the most accurate bit in the entire series when it comes to showing the development of a typical teenage girl. Nothing really exciting happens if you sit around and expect it to just because you hit puberty and all that extra oxytocin tends to make you horny
