because it is one of the most inexcusable piece of literature ever thought, written, published and read? >.<

message 2: by Mallory (new)

Mallory (malloryrose17) Lol, Amen!!

message 3: by Mallory (new)

Mallory (malloryrose17) Oh, I have to agree with you, Dylan. We're like, sinning because we dare oppose the media and all the mindless zombies who adore Edward (or Jacob).

Rebecca (rem is me and im madly in love with gaara (iluvugaaranomatterwot) Twilight rocks everyone who says different don't know anything

message 5: by Mallory (new)

Mallory (malloryrose17) I choose to remain ignorant in that case, and remain in my oblivious vegetated state of comfort, and believe the population of the world still has minds and ethics.

message 6: by Sarah (new)

Sarah (sarabeth120) Because it's the poorest excuse for a novel I have ever had the displeasure of reading. It is nothing but sappy purple prose with too much fluff and not enough substance. It's an embarrassment to vampire literature everywhere.

message 7: by Jamain (new)

Jamain (justcallmejj) | 15 comments ahhh, yeah right. Some novels were written MORE poorly THAN twilight. (twilight is not written poorly) Like Sarah you know what a REAL vampire is!

message 8: by Mallory (new)

Mallory (malloryrose17) I don't think anything I've read is written more poorly than Twilght. I recently had a babysitting job, and all the kids were in bed - the parents were going to be gone for two more hours. So, I went to go look at their book collection, but was only able to find two books. Twilight, and Junie B. Jones. Junie B. Jones is written better than Twilight. Junie B. Jones kept my attention the entire time - even though I finished it fast (it's for little kids, remember?), it made me laugh, it made me worry, and it made me sad. And you know what? It's friggin' Junie B. Jones.

message 10: by Mallory (new)

Mallory (malloryrose17) Oh, I know :) She's awesome!!

message 11: by Lizzy (new)

Lizzy Twighlight is terrible. what sickens me, is that the author is mormon (so am I) and I can't even read the dumb books because she wrote something extremly weird- no one will tell me what- in one of the last ones. It's so annoying at school because everyone else has read it and they technecly told me the entire book! I have now made it my goal to see if I can avoid that series for the rest of my life! Kudo points for me! Rem, your preety ironic. why'd you join this group in the first place when you knew it was against the book?! I mean aren't there enough 'I live and breath because of Twighlight!!!' groups out there? PLEASE take your comments and go to one of theres... you obviously stick out like pineapple on a pizza here.

message 12: by Mallory (new)

Mallory (malloryrose17) I'm Mormon as well. What makes me sad is seeing such filth under the LDS Literature at Wal-Mart.

Domo arigatou kiara-san!

>.< I'm very sorry to hear that Jake. I can't exactly symphatise with you since when I was kind of forced to read the series, I got addicted to it. Thank my big man up stairs for opening my eyes.

I owe him BIG time. LOL

Please check out my thread in this group called interview. I want to know what you guys think and maybe some of you could help. I will say this in advance, it may sound ambitious but nothing is impossible when we're passionate about something right?

SAVE THE WORLD FROM THE EVIL CLUTCHES OF INEXCUSABLE SO-CALLED LITERATURE LIKE TWILIGHT!!

KILL THE CULTS!! Jk Jk!! But I will if need be. Maybe... lol

Oh... and about the girls that forced you to read it. Serenity's right.

Girls these days are easily swayed by smooth and dream talk. They get so caught up with their heads in the clouds that they forget every beautiful thing on the ground (reality).

An example... something called LIFE!! Which they apparently don't get a good grasp of and not use it to the fullest.

They seem like headless CHICKens to me. LOL! Pun! *silence* erm... *crickets chirping* I'll shut up now...

message 22: by Shlesha (new)

Shlesha | 7 comments Twilight sucks. Period. And it's now being compared to something as good as Harry Potter which makes me stamp my foot in frustration.

message 23: by Mallory (new)

Mallory (malloryrose17) Oh, I know, Shlesha!

message 24: by Kiara (new)

Kiara I'm sorry to hear that. And Candy Rain I love to dream, and most guys aren't like Edward so some of us like to dream that he was. And some of us do have lives, too. So I hope you can rethink your opinion about that.

message 25: by Jamine Isabel E. Uy, The creative makes-awesome-stuff-for-us one (new)

Jamine Isabel E. Uy (candy-rain) | 3069 comments Mod
I know Kiara. But too much day dreaming? Isn't that bad?

I dream a lot! But I know when to come back down to reality. Some people don't. It's useless to dream of something so passionately and not do anything about it. I think it's just... well lazy?

But I understand. I hope you understand my perspective though.

message 26: by [deleted user] (new)

I DON'T HATE TWILIGHT. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. MWAHAHAHAHAHA!

I think twilight-lovers as blinded by SM portrayal of Edward

If you really study his character, hes a real creeper!! (i.e. Watching people when they sleep)

There is no way in hell I would want a boyfriend to be like Edward!

message 30: by Shlesha (new)

Shlesha | 7 comments I agree Gemma, he's creepy.

message 31: by Chandani , The TAC Prez one (new)

Chandani (milkduds920) | 1475 comments Mod
yeah. I would NOT want a BF who climbs into my second story window, just to watch me sleep, who is made of stone/ who has his siblings KIDNAP me when ever he leaves town, WHO WANTS TO EAT ME!!!!

message 32: by Phantompickles (new)

Phantompickles Hey Jamain, I've only read one book that was worse than Twilight... ERAGON. >:)

message 33: by Mallory (new)

Mallory (malloryrose17) Personally, I liked Eragon. Then again, I read it long before I ever even knew Twilight existed...and that was a while ago :)

message 34: by Gemma, The Bitchy One (new)

Gemma | 357 comments Mod
Ewwww dont even get me started on the awful-ness that is Eragon.

just.........ew.

Rosie: Since I know you have prevailing good taste (case and point: hating twilight) I would suggest you read "Earthsea" by Ursula K. Le Guin and some good ole' fashion Tolkein and then re-read Eragon. It will the become so blatantly obvious that the writer is a 19-year-old moron with no concept of originality.

message 35: by Mallory (new)

Mallory (malloryrose17) ...Thanks?

message 36: by Chandani , The TAC Prez one (new)

Chandani (milkduds920) | 1475 comments Mod
lol

message 37: by Kate (new)

Kate (kate_elsey) Ok, I just want to say. All you Twilight lovers- Get your nose out of Twilight for a week or two, read another book. Read ANYTHING else. Even Junie B. Jones, like Rosie said. Then I would like them to say that Twilight is the best piece of literature ever written. Not the best concept (even thought it's not), not the best characters ever (because they are DEFINITELY not), but the best piece of literature WRITTEN. I, in my opinion, think it is a poor excuse for a 'novel', as pointed out many times before in this group.

message 38: by Phantompickles (new)

ohhh thats a good idea....

message 46: by [deleted user] (new)

Hey, just dropping a line. I am so happy to see that I am not the only person in the world who hates Twilight!

One reason that I really despise this book is because of the type of people it draws. My 11th grade English teacher stressed to us all year that we should only read for scholarly merit, and that it was the only way to thoroughly enjoy a novel. This year I found out her favorite book series is Twilight.

There is a deep, burning rage within me.
