Hello! I have updated my ten historical fiction into ebooks on Amazon (and Nook) now and would appreciate help on tagging them. Marketing is different than when I first published the books a decade+ ago, but the ebook format will bring new readers and sales to them again.

Hi sana, u can go to todd's website and find out more abt tagging.
The gist is that by labeling or tagging your books appropriately, and helping others to tag theirs and they tag yours in return, you build a better online branding presence for your book.

So u can start by tagging all the authors above you using their link. And reminding them to do the same. :)

Hi Pat!,
To find a books rank, go to the appropriate customer community on Amazon. For example, click on a tag appropriate to your book. In my case, I clicked on "books for boys" in the tagging section of my book's amazon page. It will open the "books for boys" customer community. There is a tab listing products that have this tag. You can see from the link below, that my book is currently the top tagged book in this community:

Here's a good question. I have some excellent reviews from people I don't even know (don't have to give a good review to their friend). And I have some tags. What am I doing wrong? (I'm whispering this because I don't want anyone to know)Why doesn't it translate into sales?

Hi Pat! It is always challenging to find out what drives sales. Word of mouth is huge and also Amazon's "customer's also bought" help - but of course, sales drive the last one so it is sort of a catch 22.

Have you thought about putting your book on Kindle? The paperback price is a little at almost $15 for under 200 pages and that may keep some folks from buying. This is where having a kindle option will help.

Yes, Todd, I agree with the Kindle option! Amazon has my book at full list price of 39.99 which is crazy...even though I told them it is less somewhere else (23.99). It is hardcover...so, I offer it in Kindle to offset the high price.
