Sandy Lender (fantasyauthorsandylender) | 35 comments Ladies and Gentlemen,
I'm proud to announce my first novel, Choices Meant for Gods, has been released in Kindle format! Hooray! http://tinyurl.com/CMFGkindle (long story why the second went first...but there we are!)

Now I'm waiting for Amazon to copy my reviews over. In the meantime, I'm asking Todd to add this to the list o' books to tag. Anyone willing to help me get a jump-start on that, please do! It looks so sad and sparse at the moment. I'm looking for tags such as:

fantasy
dragons
action adventure
heroine
strong heroine
birthmark
fantasy series
kindle book
suspense
sword and sorcery

ANY of those that you feel comfortable hitting, I'm going to be thankful for. I could only list 15 so anyone who wants to type in my name (Sandy Lender) or "humor" or "integrity" will make me smile. ;)

THANK YOU!
The link: http://tinyurl.com/CMFGkindle

And happy Monday to all!
From Sandy Lender

Sandy Lender (fantasyauthorsandylender) | 35 comments Ah, Maria, Lori, thank you for the help! I had already hit your stuff, but I voted on your good reviews (which I think I had done before, too) to see if that gives you (and your reviewers) some extra help.

I don't see a way to communicate this information other than right here in the discussions, so I apologize to the folks who get annoyed by the tagging talk. I didn't realize it was such an annoyance until I saw the thread on the Wordpress blog. I just kinda filter through the stuff that doesn't apply to me and it doesn't bug me, but I can see how some folks could become overwhelmed by too much chatter. I will curb my comments here.

Thank you all for the help!
From Sandy Lender

Carole (casutton) | 223 comments Todd, I seem to be having trouble tagging. My old computer died on me on New Year's Eve -- I now have a new one which I am struggling to understand with all its different formats. Today, I thought I was really getting there so attempted to catch up on the latest tagging.

But once I get on the Amazon.com page and scroll down to the tagging area, none of the tags have their bracketed number (on the left hand side)which means I cannot add to their tags. Is this something to do with my new set up, or is it something simple to put right?

Exhausted,
Carole

message 1364: by Todd Fonseca (new)

Todd Fonseca | 489 comments Hi Carole,

Good to hear from you. Make sure when you go to the Amazon page that you are signed in to your Amazon account. Otherwise the tagging boxes won't appear.

Likely with your new computer it doesn't recognize you as logged in to Amazon. Your old computer probably had "cookies" so that each time you went back to the Amazon page you were already signed in.

I think once you sign in to Amazon, you should be fine.

Good luck! Hope that worked!

Todd

Hi Todd,
Okay did that and was able to do the bulk of the tagging without trouble. Then the Wordpress page came up asking me to sign in there, which I did, but when I returned to the tagging page we had skipped into the past. So, I'm not sure if I have finished the new updated tags, or not. I hate new computers! Why can't the old, comfortable ones go on forever!!

Carole (casutton) | 223 comments Hi Todd,
Have just completed tagging January books. When I first start the tagging, I find I have done so many of them before that now I start from the last one on the list and work upwards to the place I last left off. It works very well that way.

But I am puzzled that when I get to that position I get a box from WordPress pop up asking for user name and password. I provide it and it discounts my password saying it is incorrect. The last time I changed it, and they gave me a new password, but again today they say the new one is incorrect.

Should I just ignore the box in the future?

Carole

Maria | 77 comments Hi Todd, I think the problem is only with the book 'Bibliopticon', when I click the picture I get the WordPress 'log in' page, rather than the amazon page for the book. I've tagged most of the other January books without a problem

Cynthia Enuton (gooberella) | 56 comments Hi Rick,
I just tagged your book. The reasoning behind tagging the books on Amazon is to get your book ranked as high as possible so it will have more chances to be in the top rankings during people's searches. For instance, one of your tags is marriage. If I am looking for a book on marriage then I do a search for marriage books. Most likely there will be hundreds of books on marriage and the ones with the highest number of tags will be the first to show up. So if you only have 3 tags, then your book will be on the last pages in which the person searching will most likly not even get that far therefore not even seeing your book. I think I've explained that correctly...if not then other please chime in.

Could you please tag my book in return for taggin yours :)

http://www.amazon.com/Angel-Fur-Coat-...

Thanks

Cynthia Enuton (gooberella) | 56 comments Hey guys....I've got a question. I'm not too sure if I'm doing this tagging thing correctly. What I'm doing is comming here and tagging people who is requesting to be tagged and then I leave them a message to tag me in return. But then I've noticed people saying that they have done their tags for January. Is there another place I should be going for a list or something?
