I went to tag and as soon as I clicked on the tags for the author, another page sprang up asking me for my 'real name'. I don't mind affirming my real name, but I don't take too kindly giving out my credit card number. Call me old fashioned, but it just doesn't feel right.
Does this mean I cannot participate in the tag game?
Can someone help me here? I was planning on spending the day tagging all the authors that have participated so far...I'm so frustrated - road blocks seem to pop up everywhere. Doesn't help that I'm so new at this...
Thank you for your assistance. It is greatly appreciated.
Blessings;
Perry

Thank you J.R. I appreciate any and all tags. kgc

In order for your "tags" to show up on Amazon - you need to have an Amazon account and have purchased something from Amazon. I don't think I've had to do much more than that. Anyone have a different experience?

Sorry I bugged you Todd. I didn't know how this all worked. It will take me some time to dig into every thing and get the feel of it. Thanks for taking the time to explain.

The same thing happened to my wife. Her real name was there so she didn't fill in any of the blanks but clicked next and everything went back to normal.

Tomorrow I celebrate the first year anniversary of the publishing date for The Time Cavern. Hard to believe it has gone so fast. I'll have to think of a way to celebrate - any ideas?

A contest or giveaway of some sort. That's how I would celebrate, anyway. :o)

Shirley, above is the link to the twitter list!
Todd, congratulations, maybe we can join forces and offer a special deal for readers....The Time Cavern & Beyond my Control! Just kidding mate, your book is travelling beautifully without the extra baggage!
Put your feet up and begin penning the sequel:-)

Thank you so much for fixing Ferryman back on the Amazon UK tagging list. Any folks willing to tag it for me? The Amazon US Ferryman has around 63 tags on the first few, but the UK one has somehow fallen between the slats and has only 2 tags.

Finally I have reached home again. My cruise was wonderful and relaxing but I did not let my guard down. I plugged my book when ever I could, handed out book marks until I almost wore out the zipper on my little pencil case that I keep them in. I sold 4 copies during the cruise and when purchasing something in a gift store I even sold a copy to the clerk. My arrival home greeting me with two future book signings, one from a library and one from a bookstore. Nice way to end my travels.
Now to finish my illustrations so I can publish the children's book. I got such a great reaction to it that I may change that to my genre, after all there is something so rewarding about getting children interested in reading.

LEW WEINSTEIN

I shared my children's book with a young reader of 7 and he thought I should change one of my characters, so I took his advice and will do a quick removal and finish the illustrations. Hopefully I can get the book out by the holidays.
I am also considering doing it on a DVD and highlight the words as they are said. I am doing the book in a series, with each character having his own spin-off adventure. That should keep me busy for awhile.

We have a new goodreads group, the Author Support Group. It's similar to this one with tips and tricks, but we also have group therapy. :o)

As a newcomer to goodreads I am ploughing my way through all the discussions - another afternoon when 'the book' won't get written! Very interesting and quite frightening as I had NO idea that you could do so much to promote yourslef and your book. Am I the only naive one out there?
I didn't even really know what tagging was all about until I read the posts. I have now tagged as many requests as I could - could I please ask that you do the same for me?
My book is 'The Crossing' by Faith Mortimer. It is on Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk (doing much better on the Brit market)
Also thank you everyone for all your kind emails and friend requests, there's some great people out there.
regards
Faith

How do you get on Amazon Connect?"
Thank you Rowena and Shirley. I'm going to try to find some of those sites.

Also, check out this month's author spotlight - our own Carole Sutton (wow what a story) check it out!

I've posted this over at Todd's blog (although I haven't seen it come up yet - is there a delay once you submitted???)
Anywho, here are my entries - I'll be going through the entire list on Todd's site so if you're on there you should see additional tags. -
I have two books to submit -
* Name of your book - Ancient Rising - Rise of the Ancients Book I
* Description (back blurb)
A widower is set off on an amazing adventure by a man claiming to be a god. Like Indiana Jones meets Clash of the Titans, follow Dan Ryan through Egypt, Greece, and the Mexican Jungle as he unlocks the keys to finding the lost continent of Atlantis and the gods that are imprisoned there.
* Amazon link
http://www.amazon.com/Ancient-Rising-...
* Three or fewer requested tags (I won’t publish more than three – choose wisely)
Fantasy, Atlantis, Action Adventure
* Author / book website link (if you have one)

Book 2 -
# Name of your book
Rise of the Ancients - Annuna
# Description (back blurb)
The latest two books of the Rise of the Ancients series combined into one action packed novel. Book II - Ancient Destruction picks up where Ancient Rising left off as Dan Ryan and Prometheus battles Zeus, Poseidon and the other Gods as they race to a secret location that could be the catalyst to saving mankind. While the battle wages on, we learn the origin of man, the rise to power of the Gods, and the fall of Atlantis. Finally, in BOOK III - Rise of the Annuna - Ryan must go through Heaven and Hell, face his own internal demons, and convince the Annuna to join in a climactic battle with humanity hanging in the balance.

Thanks again everyone. Todd, if you'd like a review copy of my latest (Annuna) or an interview I'd be happy to participate.

How do you get..."
BTW, Amazon Connect has morphed into AuthorCentral. It sucks now as my blog posts are no longer included on my product. A reader would have to click your profile to see the blog posts. Its essentially useless now if you ask me.
Dear Author,
As someone who has used AmazonConnect to blog to readers on Amazon, we'd like to notify you of a change in service.
Amazon Author Central (beta) is a new service that now houses the blog feature previously offered via AmazonConnect. Visit Author Central and sign in using your AmazonConnect user name and password--within 24 hours, you'll be able to post to your blog as usual, update your bibliography, and provide a photo and biography that we'll use to build an Author Page that displays information about you and your books, as well as posts from your blog. With this change in service, posts from author blogs will be transferred from book detail pages to Author Pages automatically.
PLEASE NOTE: If your Author Page is not yet live, we expect to build it within the next 5 days. This requires no work on your part and is a one-time process--we thank you in advance for your patience during this transition period and apologize for any interruption in service. All your existing blog entries will be displayed on your Author Page once it is ready, and you'll be able to create new posts (or set up RSS feeds) from Author Central.
Sincerely,
The Author Central Team

JC, I heard that too many authors were using their blogs to send Amazon customers to other sites, moreover, I daresay the RSS feeds from private blogs to Amazon blogs could have become an embarrassment to Amazon.
The Amazon-Connect guidelines went to our product, yes, but we were asked not to "pitch" our books in our Amazon posts, so if we abided by the guidelines, the blogs were useless anyway, and probably an annoyance to readers who'd bought our books and then automatically got our blogs and possibly the RSS feeds from our blogspot or Wordpress blogs.

Thanks for posting!

So sorry!! I corrected this last night.
Again, please accept my apologies!"
It's ok Todd. I only posted here on the off-chance that the email didn't get to you. Thanx for fixing it so quickly. :o)

Tamela I tagged your four books plus one Kindle. Thanks for doing mine.

Mine needs more! :-)

Done! Please tag "The Infernova" Thanks!

Tamela wrote: "Thanks so much, S.A. and Robert.

Everyone, Have a fantastic Friday!"
S.A. I went to tag your book but had already tagged it.

Generating all the good karma that I can... :-)

I'm behind on the new postings and was on vacation (Sorry!).
I'm hoping to get to them this weekend.
Just finished a great book I need to write a review for as well.
Thanks all for supporting the site!
Todd

I have a question. Is it too late to change one of my requested tags? I would like to use the tag "ya fantasy" instead of "Young Adult fantasy". But of course, I would need your help in this matter.
