How do you post graphics on threads?
Also, do you know how to post book covers?

;)
I just do a search for that. Once you save an image into your own account (basic accounts are free), Photobucket "translates" it into code and gives you options as to how to share it...
If this is isn't clear or anyone wants additional help/info, I am happy to help :)

I received your book - it looks great. I've got quite a few in the queue, so I'll need a few weeks!

I saw your link and added some tags for the first book in your series.
Here is my book link (you can click the tags "fiction" and "science fiction"):

Thanks!

Happy to tag, what tags would you like for each book? Feel free to add to the tagging blog as well by submitting it here:

Glad you rec'd Ferryman okay, that was quick! Yes, I knew you had a queue building, that's why I thought I had better get on with it before you become smowed under :) Take whatever time you need.

That's a great cover. I'd like to know more about your book and your process to publishing. Thanks!

My book is a juvenile fiction/adventure novel about a young gifted boy who discovers a mysterious cavern in rural Amish country (quite a mix eh)!
As far as the road to publishing and releasing The Time Cavern - that's a three year journey probably best told over a nice cup of coffee. Send me a PM!
Todd

I agree with Shayla. You have a great book cover. I have spent the last several days researching publishing options for an unpublished author sans agent. As Shayla stated, I would be very interested to know your publishing process. Even if I opt to publish on Amazon, which would appear to be a viable option, I am quite certain I need an editor to evaluate my manuscript. Finding one that is reasonably priced, talented and timely seems a tough task. Suggestions, anyone?

I self published using lulu.com. The down side with lulu is you have to do absolutely everything. So front matter, typesetting, cover design, etc. You can pay lulu to have some of this done or go to find other providers.
For me, I choose an editor from editavenue.com (aileen cho). On their site, you can send a few pages to some of their editors for free and they will send back their edits, suggestions, etc. I tried a few editors and aileen was the best for my style, etc.
Regarding cover, I'm so happy to hear you like the cover. I'm actually having it updated (larger title, increase my name on the cover - drop shadow, etc.). I did the cover myself using photoshop and a 3D imaging software called lightwave. Again, there are a number of folks on the web who will do this work (~$250.00).
For typesetting internally, this is a challenge. Lot's of service providers out there for this as well. I did my own after reading through multiple forums etc. This was much much more difficult and time consuming than I would have ever imagined.
There are full service providers who do unbelievable work like beaverpond press (that's just one of many). It all really depends on how much you want to invest. On the low end you can use createspace (owned by Amazon) and you'll be up and no time selling on Amazon. Or you can use another Amazon company called booksurge that will do everything for you (like beaverpond press).
A couple of good resources to look at are:

I have seen a huge rise in sales when I first joined the tag team :)
As the tags activity dwindled, so did my sales. Coincidence? Either way, it can't hurt :)

Yippie, the book review for the Grumpy Old Man, is finally posted! Whoo Woooo!

Maybe Pat Guppy has a job at Amazon and was trying to hold things up, as she has her reputation to think of ;o)

Thanks again for your wonderful review for FireDrakes. I went and cast my vote for it on Amazon. I invite others to do so as well. :)

SOA just moved up to 26 on the main search for Arthurian Legends...that is 26 out of 5,056.
Outstanding!
As last week I could not even find it on the search list.

"I'm an adult and I discovered your book "The Time Cavern" on a whim when I was looking for something new to read on my Amazon Kindle. The time travel storyline intrigued me, so I clicked for a sample and was immediately hooked. I purchased the book as soon as I finished the sample and read it within a few days. It was quite a page-turner and one of the best I've read in recent memory. I really liked the characters (especially the two main children), the setting, and the historical and scientific details.
I can't wait for the sequels. Do you have any idea when the second book will be published?
Thanks for writing such a fantastic book."
Honestly, this is my first email from someone who I didn't already know through forums etc. who read my book and provided feedback. Holy smokes you guys! I couldn't believe it. Woohoo!

Geez, Todd, and NOW will you believe me that you need to work on the next book in the series?

That's a real pat on the back, Todd, especially when it comes from a complete stranger. how far have you got with the sequel? Or, are we taking up too much of your time asking you for reviews :)
And Dee . . .
I am about to start reading SOA today. Can't wait to get started. I haven't quite finished the book I was reading but after 530 pages it's dragging a bit.
Carole

Dee, love that video... the dancing chimps, their routine is not unlike my own when I get excited!

And hey, I just saw someone tagged me as a "goodreads author". That was so sweet. I wonder who...
I must catch up on new tags, btw. That is my goal for today.

I'm tickled pink at the moment. The latest review Old Grumpy Guppy-man got on Amazon said the book is 'Delightfully wicked.' I want to have that printed on a badge, so I can wear it to signings and people will think it's referring to me.

Oh, hey I just became a "fan" to a bunch of you. What a fun new Goodreads feature. Whoo! Woo!
Hey Carole, I hope you enjoy Merlin's tale. If you have any questions while reading it, please be sure to drop me a note :)

Dee, a stroke of geinius. We can "fan" each other.

I like to be fed grapes while I'm being fanned, lol.

Why stop at a badge --- what about the full T-shirt emblazoned with Delightfully Wicked and a sketch of Old Grumpy Guppy --- think of the advertising potential!
What is this fan business?
And, yes Dee I've made a start on Merlin. All going well and no questions so far, but I'll keep it in mind.
