I have got to say, the first time I read Reapers gale, I wasnt very fussed about it. Too many characters, too many plot lines, I got VERY confused. This time however, I am really understanding things and getting into it. Maybe its from just having read Bonehunters, but I am much happier this time!

The Errant's reaction to all this is pretty informative. We learn his power is slipping, and a lot mor..."
What great scenes, the land remembers Icarium, and Icarium remembers too....hmmmm! And it's SOOOOOOO good to see Karsa and Samar Dev again!! :) And what about Bugg's reaction to Icarium's return!!??
Just read the scenes with Twlight last night, she's a great character!
Oh how about the end of book one...TOC is ALIVE!!!!??? Doesn't it seem like a soap opera where no one reallllllly dies! Oh aaaand he's in Redmask's camp, ah-oh!?!?!
Twilight here was really confusing to me at first...but becomes very important!
SE really take his time about developing the Shake culture, and what Twilight and her brother's roles are. Very different stuff!

And I totally agree SE takes his time developing his characters! :) Give it time you may find you now like a character you had previously hated! :)

Also, the weird stuff that Featherwitch is up to...methinks she may not be quite as wonderful as she seems to think she is!

Methinks she's kind of crazy!

Featherwitch is evil for sure, even Samar Dev can't stand her! As Samar says, Featherwitch gives witches a bad name!! :)
I thought how she messes with the errant was pretty funny, but then that Bugg trick seems like it shouldn't have happened? Oh well, like he said he was distracted...

What do you all think of Kettle? That is a strange character, like Grub, there is much to be learnt from them, but people keep thinking of them as children, which they obviously are not. I also found it interesting that Fear (i think it was Fear) had said that it was going to be hard to have to kill Kettle. Which sounded like he had already made up his mind on that score?
The Errant's reaction to all this is pretty informative. We learn his power is slipping, and a lot more about Icarium. Gothos's son? really?
This is going to be interesting, verrrrrrrrrrrry interesting!
