Nope. I don't like the taste of coffee. When I lived near Seattle I think it would have been legal for them to hang me for saying that.
I'm behind on my beer reports.Last night I had the Victory Donnybrook Stout while waiting for a table for dinner. Stout is the only beer I can drink when I'm hungry. It was very low alcohol, a little chocolatey. Very good.
I'm trying to think of what else I'm supposed to report on. Hmm...
Oh! One was the Dogfish Head Bitches Brew, the limited edition Miles Davis-inspired beer. That was a crazy one. Very complex flavor.
Another was the Angry Orchard Apple Ginger cider. I liked that one a lot, though our bartender preferred the regular Angry Orchard (which is the best cider I've had in ages).
Here was part of my assortment from Saturday night,
Wasn't a big fan of the Hopalicious, but the other two were tasty. The Wit was almost sweet.

You like balls. That's the important thing.

From the Were you wondering site. How Long Will Beer Taste Good?
Regular beer will last about 6 weeks in normal conditions. If you treat it carefully, keep it cool and out of sunlight, you can make it last even longer. But after a few months, even the most carefully nurtured bottle of beer is going to go “off”. You can buy bottle-conditioned beer, which contain living years, and can be stored at room temperature out of sunlight for up to 5 years.
There are also higher-alcohol beers which have been known to improve with age, easily lasting 5-10 years. One manufacturer boasts that their beer will still taste good after 20 years.
How Can You Make Beer Last Longer?
If you’ve been reading this far, you’ve probably got the answers to keeping your beer lasting as long as possible. Keep it cool, in a cellar or refrigerator. Minimize its exposure to sunlight. And if you’re planning on keeping your beer around a few years, get something with a higher alcohol content that won’t go bad, and might actually improve with time.
Cans will keep longer than bottles, since bottle let sunlight in. High end canned beers are a good way to go. And of course this is all assuming you're not referring to an already-opened beer, right?
Right - has not been opened. 6.2% alcohol. They've been in the fridge.
6 weeks?? I had no idea it lasted such a short time.
ETA: FUDGE !!! They have an expiration date of 7/25/11. Wtf??? I swear I bought them in August.

It's going to have to sit there another few weeks. I don't have time to drink any beer in the next 24 hours.
That's quite the wormhole you have in your place of residence. No time to drink beer in the next 24 hours = beer sitting there for another few weeks.
Here is the next beer for me to try. I'm busy the next 24 hours so I may not get to it until Saturday.

Yeah, I went out of town. Now the beer will have to wait til spring. It's too cold to drink beer.

Maybe I can find one of those afternoons when the heat is on full force, and I will sit on my radiator until my butt feels like it's going to burst into flame, and have the beers then.

You just drink different beers in the winter. Stouts, porters. Most good beers don't need to be ice cold.
Well, she seems to be saying that when it's cold out she doesn't want beer, which to my mind says she doesn't want an ice cold drink in winter. So I think she is rejecting ice cold summer beers, But there are beers that are warming and bracing when you are chilly.
Sometimes my house gets really supercold, and I don't want to ingest anything cold and be shivering more than I already am. (If I'm drinking cold water, I'll just drink little sips, or let it reach room temperature. Then I'll start drinking hot tea.)
I really prefer my beers to be well chilled, but maybe I should be drinking warm winter beers.

I tried the Sam Adams Winter Lager last night, and my sister had Blue Moon's winter ale. I liked the winter ale better - nuttier, crisper - but they were both just okay in my book.
I've been buying cases of Sam Adams with mixes of varieties. Chocolate, coffee, IPA, and several other types. The chocolate is an acquired taste, I'm finding. I enjoy most of them, though.
Lobstergirl wrote: "How long will some beer last in my fridge? When does it go bad?"Not really, it should keep for a long time, long as it's unopened.
Looks nice, Jim. But I can't read the label. It looks like says Chocolate Rock. Or is it Chocolate Bock?

I drank one the other day (sitting in the sunshine) and it tasted fine.
