io9's "Why The Hunger Games is way better than Twilight" Rant

I'm not so sure that both books can be compared, they belong to different genres.Hunger Games is more in line with fantasy, and Twilight presents a more present and realistic world building.
The heroines have to face different conflicts within their lives, each one related to the time and place where the books are set.
Just my opinion :)
Lol, great article!I loved The Huger Games but it's not a book I necessarily would be desperate to reread. I think it's far too emotionally taxing for me to go through it a second time but maybe after the film, I'll want to give it ago :)

While I agree that the two are from different genres and the main chicks do face different issues in their lives, I think the author did a good job of pointing out areas within the stories where they could be compared. And, it is her rant after all, she obviously trying persuade readers to her POV which is HG is way better than Twlight. I just happen to agree w/her.

I agree, Josie. It was an emotional read. I think I'd re-read it, but later when it's had time to marinate. I am really looking forward to the movie and hope it is done well, living up to all that made the book so good.
