combine these books please

I tried to add another edition of an English cookbook, I'm not really sure what went wrong but now it appears as a seperate book! Can someone please combine?

You did not do anything wrong, a new edition appears always separate. I combined it.

Thank you! Do you know why that is? There is a seperate "button" which says add a new edition, I always assumed that would be different than adding a 'new' book... wouldn't it safe librarians a lot of time if a new edition would appear combined right away?

It would, but from what I understand it's complicated to implement.

Also, imagine the spam of people "adding new editions" that weren't appropriate editions. I think I'd rather have to combine them than have to separate out wrong editions!

yeah, maybe that's true. I just feel like I'm bothering you when I ask to combine editions which I intended to add as a extra edition from the start... but I guess that's just the way it is.
