I am from Pennsylvania. I have lived in PA my whole life just now in a different part.
I love just about every genre. Right now I have been reading mostly mystery, suspense, thrillers. I love to read anything and will give most any genre a try.
I wouldn't consider myself a pro at challenges. I have done challenges on another site and do enjoy them.
A little bit more about me:
I have two grown children. A daughter who will be 21 this December and a son who is 19. I also own two cats and currently have my daughter's and her boyfriend's dog living with me. I am going through a divorce and reading has been one way to escape that heartache.
Happy Reading all!!

I'm Tiffany from Houston, TX. My favorite genre would have to be Fantasy or Paranormal although I read just about everything. I've never participated in a reading challenge, so I'm curious as to what this will be like. If I'm not reading, then I'm crafting or singing really bad karaoke.

-- group says "Hi Sheila" --
I just turned the BIG 6-0 and have recently retired after working 37 years as a respiratory therapist. I live along the Mississippi River in Illinois, USA.
I really didn't read much for pleasure since high school until a few years ago. I seemed to get so burned out by all the required reading in college that once I graduated, got married and had a family I just stopped reading.
Now however I tend to be reading a minimum of 4 books at a time. I only get in trouble if the books are similar. I read a lot of mysteries/police procedurals. I have however lost the ability to pick out what to read next. That is where the goodreads challenges come in.
I am VERY excited to find this group and look forward to being an active participant.

Welcome to all of our new memebers! Hope you enjoy the challenges, and if there is a challenge you would like to see then please let us know!!!

I'm 21 and still live with my parents. My interests are my dog, to write, knit and crochet. I think that's it...

Hi there! :)
I'm Denise, originally from Germany but currently living and studying in Finland. I've been addicted to books ever since I learned to read and never leave the house without one.
My favourite genres include fantasy (incl. lots of UF), PNR, thrillers, historical fiction, also M/M romance and classics. While I don't usually read other romance stuff, I do admit to having a weak spot for Nora Roberts. XD
I'm a newcomer to challenges, been wanting to try it out for a while now and finally went and searched for a challenge group on GR. :)

I am thinking about making a group filled with challenges like this group :) and really hope to get support from people and other groups to help make the mother of all challenge groups by sharing ideas!!

I'm pretty new to challenges but loving them.

I love romance and urban fantasy novels. My favorite authors are Karen Marie Moning, Lisa Kleypas, Ilona Andrews and Jeaniene Frost.
I already created a reading challenge about international movies which unfortunately is not as popular as I wished it would be. I would like to post it here if possible.
If by any chance you absolutely love k-dramas, please pm me so that we can discuss them. :) I would like to create a reading challenge about them with some help.

Hello everyone! I am new here, and I am really excited to join the challenges since this is only my 3rd time with this. Hopefully I'll pull through. Thanks a lot and I hope to meet new friends as well! :D
Hi, all! My name is Lacy from OKlahoma in USA. I read all types of fiction as long as it holds my attention as well. I'm a newcomer to challenges.
Hi I'm Kat. I live in Nova Scotia,Canada and I'm a bookoholic :) My Favorite genres are PNR, UF and YA but I have been streaching out into Mystery, Epic Fantasy, Thrillers and some Horror. I'm also a Challenge junkie and love trying my hand at as many challenges as I can, even though I rarely finish some of the big ones, but it's all about the fun of trying and finding my next great read. I'm looking forward to joining some the great chllenges you all got going here and making some new book buddies :)
Hi, I'm Mary just joined this group because it looks like a lot of fun!! I live in kentuky. I guess my favorite genre would be UF and PNR. I also like reading historical romance here and there though. Just got into reading some dystopian and feel like that could quickly become a fav as well. Some of my fav authors are Patricia Briggs, Ilona Andrews, Richelle mead, Rachel Caine, and Karen Marie Moning(just to name a few lol). I'm a newbie to goodreads as well as challenges. So I'm looking foward to them as well as talking about books.:)

Hello all! My name is Suzanne! I am from Georgia, USA. I don't really have a favorite genre...I'll read just about anything but sci-fi/fantasy and nonfiction. I just love books, basically, and have for as long as I can remember!!
I am definitely a challenge newbie, though! I did the GR 2011 challenge for the past couple of months, but nothing in a group, so I'm still really new to how this all works...but I'm excited to figure it all out and work my way up to doing more than just how many I can read in a year!

I have a question about the 100 book challenge that I was just looking at: we can leave off some categories right? I don't read much Chick-lit or Horror. Some books I read probably qualify for those. But I don't wnat to acquire any to fill the categories when I just don't care for those genres much. I noticed that some of the sign-ups only had some of the categories listed.
