I don't really have many favorites of anything however I have been reading a lot of urban fantasy and romances lately.
I am still new at challenged it's a little harder for me with timing since my son is 3 and I try to spend as much time as I can with him.
About me..hm... I am a little shy and awkward. Love animals (which is why I'm a CVT) and music and outdoors and anything new I can try! :)

Welcome, Yvonne! I read a lot of romances myself, so it colors all the challenges I create, LOL! We've got lots of different challenges, and they're all pretty easy to jump into, so I hope to see you in some of them! Give any of us mods a shout if you have questions!
Welcome Yvonne! I think you'll enjoy this group. Always something interesting going on. And, yay for you being so involved with your son. A lucky little boy.
Hi Susanna, Erica and Yvonne. Welcome to TCF. Check out the buddy read thread for group reads. I hope you enjoy the challenges
Yay, Yvonne. I'm so glad you found The Challenge Factory! I hope you see a challenge or two that look like fun.

My name is Ioana and I'm from a little country in Europe called Bulgaria. You may not have heard of it before, because is not really that big and important, but if you have... well... greetings from Sofia(the capital btw).
I am 15 years old (almost 16). My favorite genre... well that's a pretty hard question if you ask me. I really don't have a favorite genre. I read everything that I have at hand you know...
Last year I joined Goodreads for the first time and ever since I have gotten in Tuch only with positive people that share my biggest obsession - reading. So happy to be a part of such happy and positive community❤❤
Love all of you, although I have never met you before!
Ioana

Greetings, Ioana! We've got challenges of all kinds here, but aren't really a discussion group as much. I hope you can find something that suits you!

Thank you!! :) Excited to be here
Welcome Ioana! From what I remember from college, Sofia is a very beautiful city. Your English is exceptionally good - you are lucky to be bilingual. You will find lots of interesting challenges to do here. Never a dull moment.
*waves* Hey, Ioana. I'm glad you found The Challenge Factory. Be sure to ask for help if you need it. We are all friendly folks :)

Not only have I heard of Bulgaria, but my husband and I have a painting from Bulgaria hanging in our living room.

I have started this year with challenges and I love them...

My name is Jinnie, and I'm from Stockholm, Sweden. My favorite genre has for a long time been crime. Now, though, I'm trying to read differnt genres to find new reading experiences. I'm a newcomer at challengers. I took my first challenge this january, and I think it's a way to start reading books I would never read if it was not for the challenge.
Hope to get inspiration for my reading!

Welcome Claire and Jimmie! I think you will really enjoy this group. I joined last summer, and my reading is way up as a result. Jinnie - I am working on learning Swedish using Duo Lingo. I love it.

Ive only just been getting into book challenges this year and came across The Challenge Factory yesterday.
I have to try to balance my time between studying, parenting and reading so I am a slow reader.
I'm looking forward to getting to know you all.
Hey, Melanie. I'm so glad you found The Challenge Factory. We have all kinds of challenges for all kinds of readers. I hope you find one, or maybe even two, that you like. Be sure to ask for help if you need it. We're a friendly bunch ;)

I have done the pop sugar challenges in 2015 and 2016, and found out I like it quite a lot. Gives me a chance to dust off some of my unread books in my shelves. I don't really have a favourite genre, as long as the book is well written I can read anything.
Looking forward to browse through the challenges you have going on here!
Welcome to The Challenge Factory, Hilde. I'm so glad you found us. I'm impressed that you will read any genre. Not many people can say that. I hope you find a challenge or two that you like.
Welcome Melanie and Hilde! This is a fun group and everyone is super friendly - so just ask if you have any questions.

I am Michele from Alabama although I was born and raised in Pennsylvania. I loved to read most anything but I like mysteries and true crime the most. I have been doing challenges for a few years now. This group seemed friendly and offered lots of different and interesting challenges. All ready found a few I would like to try.
Hey, Michele. Welcome to The Challenge Factory. You're right, we do have lots of different and (hopefully) interesting challenges :)
Feel free to ask questions if you need help. I look forward to seeing you around the group.

Welcome, Michele! Glad to have you here, and glad that you found a few challenges that look interesting to you!

I'm 34 years old, male and I live in Panama! (The country not the city in Florida)
My favorite genre has always been fantasy/science fiction... However I'm falling more and more in love with romance.. Perhaps because I'm a helpless romantic myself?
I am a total newcomer to challenges and working on becoming an author. My hope is that within 5 months I will self publish my first book for you all to read and review.
Thank you for letting me part of this group and thank you mods for your hard work!!
Welcome Gabriel! So nice to have you join us here at TCF. This is a great group - very active, very friendly. Just ask if you have any questions. I joined last summer, and my reading has gone WAY up as a result...

Welcome, Gabriel! I'm a huge romance fan myself, and I think that shines through in my challenges! I hope you find something that interests you in our challenges!

Welcome to TCF, Carmen, we're glad to have you! You're definitely not alone with your love for romance. Hope you enjoy our challenges!

Hi Dee!!! How is it that I missed you in here. It goes to show you my head hasn't been on straight for a bit :( but glad to see you :-)

I'm Shree from Milwaukee, WI. I just recently graduated and started taking my CPA exams. As more free time opens up for me, I'm starting read books for pleasure again!
My favorite genres tend to be Fantasy or weird Non-Fiction books.
I'm a complete newbie to challenges but since my decision making skills are severely lacking, I'm joining challenges to give me direction.
I'm looking forward to trying a few of the challenges in this group. :)
Hey, Shree. Welcome to The Challenge Factory. Yay for free time! It sounds like you've certainly earned it. I hope you find a challenge or two that looks good to you. Feel free to ask questions.
Welcome Agree! You will enjoy this group - LOTS of challenges to choose from, and very friendly, helpful people.

I am Stormie and I currently live in Apple Valley CA.
I read most genres except for steamy romances and erotica. My favorites being Historical Fiction, Sci-fi/Fantasy, Fiction, and Mystery. I am a reading and challenge addict so I try to find groups that have a lot of reading challenges to do. Las year I had got out of touch with my reading so now I am back in the game and ready to be challenged again! I do a lot of volunteer work at the moment, and when I am at the museum, I have loads of time to read if we don't have any guests. So I spent most of the day yesterday with my nose stuck in a book!
Looking forward to reading with this group!
Welcome to The Challenge Factory, Stormie. I don't read erotica or steamy romances either. And I try to avoid horror as well. This is the group if you want to be challenged! It's our middle name. *snort* That was bad. Sorry :)

Challenges are fresh, unfamiliar, new-car-smell territory for me, unless you count book photo challenges on Tunblr. I want to read a lot of different stuff, and these challenges sounds utterly fantastic.
I have a confession to make, though, and consider yourself warned:
I have no idea where to start. (Is this a good place to insert puppy dog eyes?) What do you recommend?

Welcome, Ressa! We're glad you found us!
Where to start is a bit of a hard question to answer, really. I would recommend trying to find a challenge that sparks your interest. Look at how fast you read a book to help you. If you can only fit 4 books into a month, then a monthly challenge might leave you frustrated at how little it seems you've accomplished. To me, even reading one book for a challenge is a win, but sometimes others can feel discouraged by low numbers.
On the other hand, doing a longer challenge like a yearly may be too hard to keep track of, due to real life commitments. I've seen a lot of people forget to update their posts at the end of the year. It all comes down to balancing your commitments!
If any of the longer challenges interest you, feel free to go back through what you've read this year and use the books as you can in the challenges! Again, we're glad to have you here!

My name is Jalissa and I'm from Maryland. The genres I usually lean towards are SciFi, Paranormal, YA, and Contemporary. I have joined and finished a few challenges before, so I'm not new to it, but I'm not a pro at it. Hopefully these challenges will help push me towards down sizing my TBR to 2/3 of what it is right now :)

Welcome, Jalissa! I hate to say it, but while these challenges will help you whittle down your TBR some, I've found that I keep adding books to mine, so I never really make any progress! Hopefully, you can do better!
Welcome Jalissa! I agree with Trea - my TBR list has grown by leaps and bounds since I've joined this group... but it is all good. What better activity is there, anyway?

Welcome to The Challenge Factory, Ressa. You mentioned that you want to read a lot of different stuff. You could try:
Snakes and Ladders
5 Facts About Your Country
Themes, Settings, and Plots
Ressa, all of those challenges are not genre specific. I think you would enjoy them. Good luck!
