Also, welcome to the group! I'm sure you'll find lots of challenges that appeal to you...I've kinda already suggested one! Let me or the rest of the mod team know if you have any questions!"
I've never done a buddy read before, but I'd love to do it with the Little House books with you. You can teach me! lol

Not a problem! I'll go ask for a thread to be set up down in the Buddy Read Challenges folder. I'll send you a private message when it is up so you can find it easier.

I hope you had a happy birthday, Cindy. Welcome to The Challenge Factory!

Yes, they can! Buddy reads are just a way for people to discuss the book in a thread at a decided upon time.
Were you wanting to join Cindy and I?

I'll get you added to my request!"
Our thread is here. (click on the word 'here')

My favorite genres are science fiction/thrillers. Michael Crichton is my absolute favorite author, though I do love Harry Potter and Little House on the Prairie too.
I'm a newcomer to challenges. Our library has a summer reading program for adults that I've already completed so I decided to look for something else and here I am!

I hope you had a happy birthday, Cindy. Welcome to The Challenge Factory!"

Welcome, Erin! My library is also doing a Summer Reading Program, but after we get 15 books read, anything additional gets us extra chances for the grand prize, a Kindle Fire! I'm about to turn in my 11th sheet tomorrow, and each sheet holds spaces for 5 books! Two of those were finished this morning, but still 53 books for June is nothing to sneeze at!

I am not so picky when it comes to genres and stuff. Though, I do enjoy good mysteries and contemporary books.
I am very lazy so a challenge is what might help me finish those books lying around waiting to surprise me. ha!

Hi Paola and Twarit -
I'm very new here too. You will love the people in this group. Very helpful and friendly. And yes, having challenges really does get you reading a lot more!!

Hello, Twarit. I'm glad you found The Challenge Factory. The nice thing about our challenges is that they can be as challenging as you want them to be. If you like mysteries, you might enjoy The Reporter's Challenge.

It's ok, Paola is my name, but most people call me Pao ;)
Welcome to The Challenge Factory, Paolo. I see you've already found the Give Me 5 challenge. Way to jump right in. There are quite a few monthly challenges that are just starting. Maybe one of those will interest you, too.

Thank you!

I’m new at taking part in challenge (I still have to decide which one) but I think it will be a good motivation to get through my huge, ever growing, to be read list :)

Hey, Brittany, welcome to The Challenge Factory. If you're into sci-fi and fantasy, maybe you'll like the Science Fiction and Fantasy Challenge that one of our members created. It's pretty cool.

I live in Southern California
I like Sci-Fi, fantasy, mysteries, and non-fiction. I also on some occasions enjoy young adult and humors chick lit.
I have zero experience with reading challenges. My goal is to keep myself accountable with my reading goal. The first half of the year I missed my goal so I'm here to make that change.
I also want to share the reading experience. I find that I'm taking less trips to the book store these days and that is impacting my reading list. I look forward to seeing what others are reading. I see I have a lot of exploring here to pick a challenge or 2....

Genres: Mystery, Thriller, Suspense, Horror, some YA, some historical, non-fiction, paranormal (ghost/haunting - no vampires), some contemporary, some literary. I like a little of everything except romance and erotic.
I'm new to challenges (on Goodreads anyway) I began the 2016 Reading Challenge and am 26 books in but those didn't transfer when I signed up for the challenge, so if anyone knows how to transfer those, please let me know. Otherwise, I'll just have to knuckle down :)

Welcome, Diane! Are you referring to the Group Reading Challenge? They never automatically transfer your previous reading in, so you have to sign up for it. Just set the same goal as you did for the Main Goodreads one and designate a shelf for them to use. I always use Challenges 201X personally, where X is the last digit of the current year. Then all you have to do is tag those 26 books with that shelf as well and the group challenge will pick it up!
We're glad you joined us! Feel free to PM me or any of the other mods but Shellbelle or Jenne if you need further help!
Hey, Diane. I'm so glad you found The Challenge Factory. Washington is a beautiful state! Since I live in Arizona, it's always a treat when I go to Washington to visit family.
I hope you find a challenge or two that you think is interesting.

Thank you, Lanelle! It is beautiful here, very green - although I think half of the green is from moss, LOL.
Have a wonderful day!

Looking forward to doing some challenges.

Welcome, Cindy! Around here, we always say that challenges are for YOUR enjoyment, so no pressure to finish them! We've got a 6 month Challenge centered around Marvel's TV shows that you should check out that I think you might like.

Welcome, Caitlin! We've got a few challenges that might appeal to what you enjoy reading, especially our Walking Dead Game Challenge. I've got to say though, challenges are a great way to get through your TBR pile!
What part of Ohio are you from? I'm in the Dayton area myself.

I'm in Munroe Falls up between Akron and Kent. :) I really like it up here, but I miss Kentucky sometimes.
I spotted a Star Wars challenge that I've got my eye on. It seems right up my alley. :)

*grins* That one is fun! We had a suggestion for that for May the 4th Be With You Day, and I had a blast creating that challenge! I've been using it to read all of the novelizations, and I've enjoyed the walk down memory lane.
Ah, up north! I don't get up there too much, I used to when I visited family in Pennsylvania, but as they've all passed on years ago, I haven't found much reason to take the trip up that way lately.

Hello, my name's Tiara, but I go by Of Skulls and Arrows on my Tumblr, which is basically by blog where I post my writings and stuff. I'm from Indonesia. I grew up in an island but later moved to the a much bigger mainland because of academic needs. My favorite genres are basically everything and anything, as long as they are interesting. But my bookshelves consist of mostly young-adult reads with romance and etc. I'm definitely a newcomer, as I usually shy away from group reads or any other challenges. But after reading some tips from the Broke and the Bookish (http://www.brokeandbookish.com/2012/0...), I decided to try something new and try to make actually some new friends who love books as much as I do. I hope joining this group would be a good place for me to start.

I don't mean to initiate any promotion, but it would be nice if you all have some time to check it out and give feedbacks, as I'm still learning a lot. And if you have tumblr, we might even follow each other. :) I'll check out yours, too, if you want.
Hi Tiara, and welcome! I think you will enjoy this group - very friendly, helpful and supportive. I joined about a month ago and it has been well worth my time.
Welcome to our two newest members, Tiara and Abi! I'm so glad you found this great group. We have all kinds of challenges. I hope you find one or two that interests you.

I've got you down on that! You made it in almost right at deadline! Please make sure you fully understand the how tos for that challenge and be ready to post for your partner ASAP when I get them posted tomorrow morning. If you have any questions about it, please PM me or Ezi. Welcome to the group!

OOH! I've been wanting to re-read those myself! Care to do a buddy read together?
