We do have team challenges, however they are on a bit of a hiatus right now. We just finished up the very short "What's In YOUR Book?" team challenge, but our mainstays are Super Series Challenge (aka SS Challenge), Super Speedy Series Challenge (aka SSS Challenge), and The Grimm Readers Challenge. We're hoping to get them back up and running sometime this year, so be sure to watch for them! In the meantime, feel free to check out the Archives for all of those challenges, so you can get a feel for how they work.

Sarah | 16 comments Hi I'm Sarah. I live in a small town in East Central Illinois.
I am a multi genre reader for the most part. But my biggest addiction is romance (MF and MM), YA, mystery, and anything else that catches my attention. Just not too big on paranormal, but I read some of it. I'm fairly new to the challenges on GR, and I'm doing pretty well on my very 1st one :) But I'd say that I've gotten it down pretty well by now!
Happy Reading everyone!

Alyssa Lee | 16 comments ♥ My name is Alyssa, I am from Northern Alabama, and I love a variety of genres. Some include anything Young Adult, Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Dystopian, Thrillers (anything crime related/including forensics), and Romance. I am somewhere in the middle when it comes to challenges. I am in several challenge groups and pick and choose what I know I can complete every month. I would love to be active in this group, and eventually read many more books.

Alex Shelby (jynxmecrazie) | 103 comments Hello everyone, I joined this group a few weeks back, but have yet to introduce myself. My name is Alex and I am a 26 year old living in Saint Paul, Minnesota.
My favorite genres are thrillers and mysteries. I also like memoirs and true crime a lot. This year I am trying to branch out and read some things I might not normally. This is the first year I've done any challenges and I'm hoping it will help with my branching out goal.
Besides reading, I have a big passion/love for dogs and cats.
Happy reading :)

Samantha (missymaysreadingnook) | 483 comments Hi! My name is Samantha. I go by either Sam, Sammie or Samantha - I don't take any offense over one or the other. I'm from Iowa, but have been living in Southern California for the past 3 1/2 years. My favorite genres (I can't just pick one) would be horror, fantasy, and romance. I'm willing to read any book though (as my bookshelf in my apartment can attest to). I love doing challenges because it opens my eyes to other books that I have never heard of or never thought to try. I'm at an interesting crossroads in my life right now, with leaving my old job and getting married this year, so I'm really excited to see what this year has in store for me!

I hope you enjoy our group. check out our Buddy Reads threads to see what people are reading this month.

Welcome, Dan. My specialty is books that are public domain. I guess some of them would be considered historical fiction :)

Have you had a chance to look through the challenges?
Is there one that caught your eye?

message 1277: by Brenda (new)

Brenda | 44 comments Hi, I'm Brenda and I live in Pennsylvania in the US. My favorite genre to read is paranormal romance but if the story is good I'll read pretty much anything. I used to do a lot of reading challenges but I lost my internet service for a couple of years so I'm just getting back to doing them.

I love to read and I really like discovering authors that I haven't read before and trying out new series to see if I like them.

message 1278: by Gicela (new)

Gicela Longo | 2 comments Hi. My name is Gicela and I'm from northern NJ. I'm a wife and mother of a 14yr old girl. My fàvorite genres are Historical and coñtemporary fiction (romance and suspense a plus). I particularly enjoy novels that have an underlying Christian tone. However, i certainly don't turn those down that don't. Some of my favorite authors include, Julie Lessman, Marylu Tyndall, Victoria Bylyn, Jessica James, A.E. Murphey, Kelly Stevenson,Mia Sheridan, Brittany Cherry, Pricilla Glenn, Penelpe Ward, and A.E. Woodward.
This is my first book challenge and first book group. Hoping i do this right because I'm looking forward to some book fun.

Welcome, Gicela. I'm glad you found us. And you did everything just right. (Kinda sounds like Goldilocks)

I don't mind reading Christian novels as long as they don't get too preachy. I hope you find a challenge or two that interests you.

Elle (louiselesley) Hello!!

♥My name is Elle :)
♥I am from Northern Ireland but I live in England now.
♥I suppose my favourite genre is either Urban Fantasy or Crime? Maybe? I don't know!
♥I have been doing the GR challenge for the last 5 years or so but more in depth ones I normally fail at so this year I feel like a newcomer... again

message 1284: by Agnieszka (new)

Agnieszka (agnieszka7) | 1987 comments Hi everyone! I was born in Poland but spent most of my life in Germany. I just love to read and there are and there is not much I don't like (horror, paranormal, hard-core fantasy and Sci-Fi) but other than that I read it if I'm in the mood. Usually I'm alway in the mood for books that are fun and if there is some romance and or suspense/mystery I'm feeling like in heaven.
Last year I joint for the first time the GR reading Challenge and some other smaller challenges in my groups.

Hello, Agnieszka. Welcome to The Challenge Factory. I'm always in the mood for books, too.

I was in Wiesbaden for about a month when my oldest daughter was expecting a baby. It's a beautiful country. I told my son-in-law I wasn't leaving until I saw at least two castles. It was a great experience. Although that airplane flight was way too long.

message 1288: by Gabriela (new)

Gabriela | 192 comments Hi everyone! My name is Gabriela and I'm a dancer and English teacher from Montevideo, Uruguay (although I'm living in Buenos Aires at the moment.)
I guess my favourite genres are Fantasy, Historical and Contemporary, but it depends on my mood and I'm normally excited to read almost anything.
I've done a few seasonal and yearly challenges but I also want to try something a bit more demanding... so let's see how it goes!

message 1289: by Luci (new)

Luci Hi, I'm Mari, from New York. I'm relatively new to challenges (browsed GoodReads before, but never really particpated in it, let alone joined groups or anything)... but they're a lot of fun so far! I love reading from a variety of genres and tend to have a hard time picking what to read next, so having a challenge-list to go to helps a lot. Anyway, looking forward to being a member of this community!

I like reading everything except horrors, but mostly romance and fantasy.
I've been participating in challenges over at the MM romance group and they turned me into a challenge addict :D
I've been a member of this group for a while now, but I still haven't entered any challenges and I'm hoping to change that this year :)

Andy Dill (andydill) Hi, I'm Andy Dill. I live in St. John, KS. I only joined Goodreads in November of last year. I hit my goal of 80 books with 83 in just two months. My preferred genre is science fiction, but I read almost anything. I read a lot and I read fast so I think I will probably hit my challenge goal long before the end of the year and will probably increase it.
