PepperP0t Welcome newcomers I missed, there's always room for one more in a challenge.

Nichole | 1862 comments Hi, I'm Nichole from Oklahoma. I bounce between PNR, CR, HR, UF and Fantasy. In other words, mostly Romance. I don't know if I would call myself a pro at challenges but I'm definitely addicted to them. I'm pretty shy and it took over a year of being on GR for me to make a peep. I seem to have come out of my shell quite a bit this year though :) I've been considering this group for a while now and figured this was the perfect time to join. A new year of challenges! Yay!

message 705: by Mirliz (new)

Mirliz | 98 comments Hi, I'm "Mirliz" from Sweden. I've been reading pretty much all my life and my favorite genre is fantasy (especially epic fantasy) although I enjoy any genre really.

My biggest dream is to be able to have a huge library in my home, big enough to let me properly divide my books into genres in different shelves, rather than mixing everything on the small amount of shelves I currently have - and not be forced to keep many of my books in boxes.

I'm completely new to the whole challenge thing, but since I haven't read as much lately as I wanted to, I thought challenges might be a way for me to start reading more actively again and maybe discover new genres and authors.

message 706: by PepperP0t (new)

PepperP0t hi Mirliz, good to have you. I couldn't afford to keep moving to accommodate my books, TGFE (Thank God for E-readers!)

message 707: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth Webber Hi all! I'm Elizabeth from Arizona. I really enjoy the challenges in other groups, so I got really excited when I saw this one! I love pretty much all fiction. I especially enjoy cozy mysteries and fantasy fiction. I recently started a blog (http://www.wonbooksblog.blogspot.com), so if anyone else has a blog or has words of wisdom, it would be much appreciated! My blog has bookish travel, crafts, and reviews. I am so excited about this group!

message 708: by PepperP0t (new)

PepperP0t great to have you Elizabeth, just jump into a thread you're sure to find your answers, good conversation and friend or two

message 709: by Jackie (new)

Jackie | 977 comments Hi everyone! I'm Jackie from North Carolina. I read and enjoy several genres, but my favorites are mystery, particularly cozy mystery, and fantasy. I am a challenge addict and am active in several other challenge groups. So, like a true addict, I need to join just one more group! I'm looking forward to participating.

Jenni McGee (jenniemcgee) Hey everyone. My name is Jenni but I go by Kali (pronounced Kaylee), very long story on how I got the name.
I'm a civil code enforcer for the state of Louisiana and am brand new to GR and challenges dealing with books. I'll read almost anything but love anything romance and YA. Oh I can be a little CDO at times, it's obsessive compulsive.

message 717: by Tia (new)

Tia Jenkins (tia_jenkins) Hi gabby! im from Cali too.

message 718: by Tachi (new)

Tachi Wow!! Do you live in a town where there's a lot of people? I live in a pretty average town with the only well-known building being a McDonalds._. We have a used book store, which is a good thing:D

Tia Jenkins (tia_jenkins) I live in the capitol :D

message 720: by Tachi (new)

Tachi Omg O.O The last time I was there was in fourth grade but we're going to go there again in February. Good Nandos, there was so many candy shops there. When I was there, I got such a sugar rush.

message 725: by Bouchra (new)

Bouchra Rebiai (bouchrarebiai) | 227 comments Hi, I'm Bouchra, and I currently reside in Saudi Arabia.

I'm an avid reader (esp. after I got my smartphone, TGFE!), and I love reading challenges. My main goal for 2014 is to read 150 - 200 books, and I recently realized that I'll need quite a few challenges to be able to complete my goal, because I don't like the idea of simply tackling my TBR list - I don't know where to start, too many interesting books!

message 726: by Tia (new)

Tia Jenkins (tia_jenkins) Welcome to the group!!

message 727: by Leticia (new)

Leticia Hi, my name is Leticia, I'm from Brazil. I enjoy all genres but my favorite is fantasy. Right now I'm a newcomer to challenges, but I have a feeling that soon I'll be a challenge addicted.
My english isn't perfect, so I apologize for any mistakes :)

PepperP0t hi newcomers, welcome

message 729: by Jim (new)

Jim Townsend | 69 comments Good afternoon,

My name is Jim, and I'm a 50-year-old booklover from Voorhees, NJ (outside Philadelphia, PA) who works full-time for the US government. I joined this group yesterday, following a TCF group member named Rhonda from Wichita, KS whose friendship I "approved".

I like reading, dining out, sports (especially baseball), travel, and telling bad jokes.

I am a newcomer to challenges but that didn't stop me from joining this group's 2014 yearly challenge to read a certain number of books by December 31, 2014.

Look forward to participating while playing catch-up on my reading, hoping to get to mustard.

message 733: by Jan (new)

Jan Hi everyone! I popped in and joined a few challenges for 2014 but have not officially introduced myself yet. Thought I should probably do so, especially since you are updating your membership roster.

My name is Jan and I have resided in California my whole life. I have been a member of Goodreads for about 15 months and have done a few challenges in the group I am most active in. But this year I have explored a few more challenge groups and decided to push myself to complete more.

My favorite genres are historical fiction/romance, steampunk, cozy mysteries and contemporary fiction. I also throw in an action/adventure novel every so often.

Looking forward to being part of the group!

message 734: by April (new)

April Johnson Hello all. My name is Elease I reside in Dc. I'm new to this group but always up for new challenges. I do not have a particularly favorite genera of literature i will read anything someone recommends that has peeked their interest. I like reading book series more than just one particular book. So let's see how many challenges I can complete this year. Have a blessed day.

message 737: by Krystal (new)

Krystal (crazylittlebookpage) | 105 comments I don't know if I have ever introduced myself here, I probably have but forgot. I'm Krystal, I'm 29 (30 in April) I have one son and 2 furbabies. I love to read and I was worried I'd get kicked out of here because I don't post often mostly because I'm too busy reading and taking care of my son. I'm a single mom and I love this group, a lot of the time I'll find challenges here that interest me. Cheers :)

message 738: by Jen (new)

I recently got engaged so thats another thing that is always taking up my free time, planning a wedding is alot of work! I read a wide variety of genres so basically anything and everything. message 741: by Steph (new)

Steph (blue01022) Hi everyone. I'm Steph. I've actually been a member of this group for quite a while, but I don't know if I've every posted anything - I'm usually more of a lurker. I've often taken inspiration from other people's challenges, but haven't officially recorded my progress here.

Now, though, I do want to make an effort to become active in this group! I'm 20, and a sophomore in college, so I'm very busy, but I want to continue to do a lot of leisure-reading. The goal I've set for 2014 is to read 100 books by women writers, and it would be nice to do some other, smaller challenges, too, to help motivate me!

message 742: by PepperP0t (new)

PepperP0t hi former lurkers - you can play with us. we don't bite (hard)

My current favourite reading genres are YA and Historical Fiction.
