I am a big fan of Rick Riordan, JK Rowling, Anthony Horowitz, Eoin Colfer, Roald Dahl, Enid Blyton, and many many more.

I don't have a favourite genre as my tastes change with my mood. I tend to read a lot of fantasy and sci/fi along with historical fiction and non-fiction, but I'll read almost anything.

I'm a newcomer but I've almost completed my reading challenge for 2012. I'm looking forward to setting new challenges for 2013.

I'm also finishing up writing my first novel, which should be done by the end of this year. (Another challenge!)

Hello, I'm pooks, aka, Patricia Burroughs, but seriously, call me pooks. Every time I see challenges in bloggers' sidebars I itch to join one, but I am the person who only needs to write something down on a To Do list to NOT DO IT. I swear, my lists exist to make me do everybody but what is on the list.

This year I decided to change that and I signed up for a challenge which SHOULD be easy, since I love historical books. I'm reading at least 25 books with historical settings in 2013.

And I created my own challenge. If it's appropriate I'll share the link. If not, no prob. Anyway, it's a TBR challenge in an attempt to put a dent in my stash of books--both digital and print--that I've acquired but not gotten around to reading yet.

I'm glad to find this group. Maybe I'll find the motivation to actually follow through! Thanks for the opportunity!

Hi, I am Kathy. I am from the United States. I like all genres, but if I had to pick just one it would be mystery. I am a newcomer to this group, but I did challenges in 2012. My interests are reading, watching movies, photography, and traveling. This is a great group and I look forward to the book challenges. I am going to create a 2013 log in the Challenge/Reading Logs section and store all the challenges I do because of this group. I am going to start out with one Series Challenge and one Yearly Challenge. My choice for Series challenge is The Kinsey Milhone Series. My choice for Yearly Challenge is You Have The Right To Remain Silent.

UPDATE: I am still going to do The Kinsey Milhone Series challenge and the You Have The Right To Remain Silent challenge, but I removed my 2013 log in the Challenge/Reading Logs section and instead entered my challenges on the actual Challenge thread.

Hello ... I'm Book Concierge (or BC) ... otherwise known as Tessa. I got my name from one of my F2F book clubs ... They were always relying on my to nominate books and I was trying to encourage them to suggest books for our group and one member said, "but you're our Book Concierge!"

I'm originally from San Antonio Texas, but now live in Milwaukee Wisconsin. I am afflicted with "malignant bibliomania" ... Not looking for a cure, though, as I love to read.

I read just about anything with words, but prefer literary fiction. I also enjoy classics, mysteries, YA fiction, nonfiction and memoir. Not a great fan of fantasy, paranormal, romance genres (but I've read them ... how would I know they're not my style if I didn't at least try them?)

I'm in several F2F book groups and an active participant in both Shelfari and Good Reads groups. Love the challenges!

Hi, I'm Sally, and I live in Southern California just north of Los Angeles with my boyfriend of 8 years and our very yappy dog. My kids are 22 and 21 and are both out of the house at this point. I tend to stick to historical fiction or contemporary books, although am pretty comfortable with most genres.

I also participate in several other groups and have yet to decide if I obsess over reading more, or obsess over choosing just the right choice of books for challenges. (so yes, I'm familiar with them)

I tend to read much more during holidays as I'm a school principal, and that work stuff seems to get in the way of my pleasure reading! As a result, you'll see that I often dip into the higher levels of children's lit or tame versions of YA - those are generally coming from my 6th grade students as recommendations. :)

Hi! I'm Claire and I'm a postgraduate student in Newcastle, England. I'll read most things, not a fan of horror stories and I struggle a bit with the classics. I used to say my favourite genre was sci-fi but I think it's changed a bit, just not sure what to!
I would say I'm a challenge amateur, I like a challenge and have done a few but I'm not a professional at them.
I'm really looking forward to finishing the lecture part of my Masters course and getting into the lab so I have some guilt free evenings for reading!!
