Kim Marie | 894 comments My October reads were all from Brenda's book list....thanks Brenda!

I had long planned to read Tandia as the sequel to The Power of One and I gave it 4 stars. The story served to refresh in my mind that period of South Africa's history.

Karin Slaughter was a new author to me and although I regret that the two books I was able to obtain ( Fractured and Undone) meant missing important episodes in the main characters' lives, I did find them both interesting and will seek out other books by that author. I gave them both 4 stars but would probably only recommend them to other readers who are not disturbed by the violence of that genre.

David (tasbooklover) | 151 comments Thanks Carmel :) How did you go?
I can't find a lot of horror titles on my bookshelves, so I think November is going to be a bit sparse.

Congratulations David, an awesome result! Now for November, with not much horror on your bookshelves, you can catch up on other reading you've put aside for the October challenge;D (that's my plan!)

David (tasbooklover) | 151 comments Thanks Brenda. I have a stack of books that I need to finish from various unfinished challenges (like the Spring one). The end of 2011 is approaching so fast!!!
So I might focus on them for the first half of November.

David (tasbooklover) | 151 comments Having said that - I am starting with a horror book :) Carnies by Martin Livings
