Jonathan Marchand (skulrik) | 2 comments Hi,

I have buy the book "L'Anniversaire du monde" by Ursula LeGuin (http://www.amazon.fr/LAnniversaire-du...). Its ISBN13 is 978-2253023487.

When trying to add it in my books, I have found that this ISBN is used for a book named "Les gars de la rue paul" by Ferenc Molnár (http://www.amazon.fr/gars-rue-Paul-Fe...). All the data seem related to that book, except the cover which is the one from the Ursula LeGuin book.

I am a librarian, but I am not sure of what to do with that issue ? Can I change the ISBN and cover of the Ferenc Molnar book (to match the one provided by amazon), and create a new book for the Ursula LeGuin one ?

Thanks,

Cecile | 64 comments If you look at the source field on the edit page, it's amazon.fr, but they seem to have corrected their page since, because the link goes to the right book. That's why I don't think you need to create a new book in this case.

So I would suggest to first separate this edition from the book "Les gars de la rue paul", so that this other book is left unchanged. I think it's good to check at this point if someone is using the edition you're about to change.
Then try to refresh the data from amazon with the link on the left of the edit page.
If it's not enough, you'll have to make the corrections manually.
After that you can combine with the other editions of "L'Anniversaire du monde".

That's what I would do.

Jonathan Marchand (skulrik) | 2 comments I have followed your indications, and the book is now correctly listed and combined with other editions :)

Thanks a lot !
