Rationale

While scanning through the nominated books, the book which interested me the most was 'Await your reply' by Dan Chaon. This fascinating piece of writing was nominated for the International Dublin Literary awards. The genre of this book captivated my attention. i have already started reading and every time i flipped to a new page, my curiosity just kept increasing. I'm very excited and curious to finish reading this book.

My second choice for the independent reading assignment is 'the library of shadows' by Mikkel Birkegaard. This book was also nominated for the International Dublin Literary Awards. The synopsis of this book dragged me into reading it as it was filled and spiced up with suspense, mystery and thriller.
