Brenda | 123 comments I have a query from a couple of members regarding The Soldier's Wife and The Collaborator both by Margaret Leroy.

The question is, are they both the same book? I have checked them both out, and the ISBN's are different, the first one was published on June 28 2011 by Hyperion, and the second one published 20th May 2011, by Harlequin (UK) Ltd. The blurbs are pretty much the same.

Is it possible they are one and the same, with different titles/covers published in different countries?

Thanks, if someone can help:)

Vicky (librovert) | 2462 comments The author's website (http://www.margaretleroy.com/home.htm) confirms that The Collaborator is the UK title. :)

If they share an ISBN in common, we can put up alternate cover versions. Otherwise you'll have to choose which version you want on your shelves, b/c GR does not have a function that allows multiple versions of the same book to appear. I believe you can write separate reviews for them though!

Edited in light of message 6.

Actually, we do.

I knew you could review multiple editions, rivka, but that doesn't shelve them individually does it?

EDIT: nvm, I just tried it, and it shows both books on my shelf :D

I learned something today! LOL

The database stores the user's shelf choices, rating, review, notes, etc. together as a single entity. If you can review it, you can certainly shelve it. Conversely, if you can't shelve it, you can't review it.
