[Coco] This book ended up being a real disappointment. Suzanne Collins' other books in this trilogy were so tense and fast-paced, but Mockingjay was slow and didn't seem interesting. What do you think?

Hawraa Naqi It was very different from the first and second books, however I can't say that i didn't like it.
Sure, there were some parts that really pissed me off, for instance how Katniss just kept randomly kissing Gale even after it was obvious she loved Peeta in catching fire. Also, Finnick's death was so short while Boggs' death was long! and Finnick is a very loved character I didn't even have enough time to feel sad about it.
But overall I thought it was a really good book. I cried for a considerably long time when Katniss went back to 12, but then Peeta comes back and it's like hearing the bell of the last period ring :P sorry school just started.

Catfish :D I agree with the post above, it was a good book, and very sad. I hated the last part, it was depressing. I do feel it left some questions unanswered, and I would like to hear from Gale's point of view, but overall I did enjoy it.

Alondra Miller I did not enjoy this book as I did the 1st or even the 2nd. It just didn't go well with the first part of the series. (view spoiler)
not sure if real spoilers or not, but better safe than sorry :D

[Coco] I know it was so sad. I wonder why Collins didn't spice it up a bit. Any ideas, guys?

Diana Townsend I thought differently... this one was slower paced, I agree but I loved this one just like the others because it showed Katniss learning who she is as a person, not just as a victor or a survivor. We get to see another side of Peeta and Gale, and we learn the truth about the districts and the Capitol. I think it was a wonderful way to end the series... sad, but true to form.

Shay I liked it. I thought it was different and I enjoyed reading how Collins really tried to tackle the psychological states of the characters.
Peeta is basically my favorite character (even though Katniss had to save his butt too many times -.-), so I personally was very satisfied with the epilogue. I do think the ending was a bit rushed, but then again, I was rushing to get to the end too, so idk what to say about that. I did find it weird to read pages and pages of summary instead of scenes. However, I would recommend it to peoples and I would read it again :)

Megan how do you put a spoiler on a comment

Nya Tomlinson-Horan-Malik-Payne-Styles FANTASTICAL!!!!!! even though it is very different from Hunger Games, and Catching Fire. but i love a good ending.

Dee One word : AFREAKINMAZING!!

Charlotte Honestly everyone is saying how it wasn't as good as the first two, while others say it's the best. In my opinion it was an amazing book, just like the other two. I really enjoyed it, sure it was a little faster than the other two, but it's a new book it doesn't have to be exactly like the other two.

Geoff Ball Megan: Put it between < spoiler> and < /spoiler> (without the spaces).

M.R. I agree that the book is heart-wrenching in parts but they're in the middle of a rebellion so it's logical people are going to die, even some of the characters we love. To do otherwise would have been unbelievable.
One big complaint about Breaking Dawn in the Twilight series (among other things) was the too-perfect ending with everything all tied up in a pretty package. Collins didn't do that and I think she made the right call.
I loved all three books in the series, even though they are each a bit different.

Obi loves Chewy I liked it a lot that really all I can say.

Bry15 I personally did not find it slow at all. Collins was really good at conveying Katniss' emotions, and her slight madness. I found the symbolism great too.

******SPOILERS******

However, as a person who cares WAY too much about fictional characters, the ending tore my heart to pieces and spit them back out again.
PRIM WHY???? They were this close and then KABOOM FEELINGS IN CHAOS.

Mehnaz I thought it was in a way a good and kind of a disappointing book towards the end cuz well they have kids and that's it! I want more books!

Mehnaz Why did Prim have die! It sort of killed Katniss's life.

However, as ..."

Mehnaz I agree with you but she probably did that because she was wrapping up the book and wanted to calm things down.:)
