message 1668: by Vicky (new)

Vicky Hunt (vickyahunt) | 244 comments My current read started with The Viral Storm: The Dawn of a New Pandemic Age. That book was inspiring enough to launch me into The Last Days of the Incas, by Kim MacQuarry, and then now The Origins of Political Order: From Prehuman Times to the French Revolution by Francis Fukuyama. This book does a great job of surveying the origin of the worlds major countries/ civilizations, including the Ottoman Empire. I've learned much about India & China from this book already and I'm not yet finished.
