This book was recommended to me by several members of this incredible group - thanks again! Just started it (page 15) but am already sure I will enjoy it.
I'm actually reading the Dutch translation, 'Dwars door de wildernis', but can't find it in Goodreads. Will try and add it in.

It is a great book that have marked a lot of people I know, is the favourite of two partners at college, and I am enjoying it very much.

I'm currently finishing The Underground Railroad (just won a Pulitzer) and Dark Matter.

When you get to the US territories, please consider reading NO SURRENDER SOLDIER, set in Guam. I would be honored. :-)

This novel was the author's first and so far only novel written and it sold more than 20 million copies in China. I loved it, rated it 5 stars, and reviewed it.

Good to see that you liked it. It has been on my TBR for a while and I would to read it this year.

Excellent book! Glad you enjoyed it.

A fascinating meditation on love, marriage, loneliness, social mores and so on, by Hungarian writer and journalist Sandor Marai (1900-1989). I'm reading the English version. Gripping!!

This one is on my to read list. I'll be interested to know what you think of it.

I am currently reading "The silent world" by Jean-Jaques Cousteau - about the beginning of sport scuba diving as we now it today. Takes place mainly in Southern France and it is fantastic. A true gem and I highly recommend it for anyone interested in France, the ocean or both :-)
