Oh I do need to sort out how smashwords works!
Btw...I quite like 'Kindlated' ;)
Welcome to the author thread, Paul! Hope you have a great time here and in all the threads!

You could maybe offer a few copies as prizes for the quiz we have on here.
Shaun did that with his book, Kult, and it generated some more sales for him.
Give Brubeck a pat from me, he sounds like a lovely dog. A lot of the people have pets on here, some with bits missing off them, like Dotty no ears, Simons cat!
Anyway welcome to the group and hope you stick around and join in the fun on here.

If you'd like to donate a few copies for our upcoming quiz (I'm in the middle of sorting out the questions now) please do send Simon a private message and he'll help you out with the logistics. Or geekiness, as we call it.
Have a look at Shaun's thread, as well.

Yes, it's a bit racy and raunchy and even rude but it's fast paced and as you can already tell by Paul's initial posting, it's funny. Give it a whirl - especially if you got it free!

Hi Paul,, Ive left a review for you on Amazon.. I won your book in a recent competition ( bragging here a bit, I know ) and Ive just finished it. It wasnt my usual kind of book but I really got carried away with it. Cant wait for your next offering !

You re welcome Paul.. the last thing I won was tea towel ,, still in the cupboard !

Better than okay, Lorraine. Thanks a bunch.

Then I checked, and saw that you had. Bravo!

So... Paul... Is there another book in the pipeline or will I have to wait for Champagne and Caviar night for a long time?

Highly recommended!
Cellar Door

And for anyone who can tell me how to point the Goodreads book at *me*, and not this black hole of a Paul Fenton shadow who seems to suck in passing books if they get too close: there's a steak dinner in it for you.

Anyway, I have a new book. It's a novella called 'The Spanner', and it's about an absurd character called Stan Ramble who goes to some rather extreme lengths to try and remember what he has deliberately forgotten in the course of his career as an IT manager.
The sillier parts in the book are based on real events. I was challenged to write it by a colleague at a previous employer. 'Go on,' he said when he found out I'd written some books. 'Write a book about him, he's a walking, talking fictional character.' I said to him, 'Get out of here, I'm on the toilet.' We talked about it later, and once the idea had sunk in I had no option but to dig it out. And here it is: the diggings from my brain.
I just spent half an hour disassociating the Goodreads entry from a different Paul Fenton -- I had to rename him 'Dr Paul Fenton' in the end -- but if it doesn't pan out I might give it back to Dr Paul.

Health warning: when I say dark, I do mean it. Plenty of levity in there too, but if you're put off by occasional profanity (read as: regular) and characters who aren't exactly shining beacons of humanity ... maybe you should wait for the next book. (I'd put a smiley face here, but then I'd have to poke myself with something sharp as punishment.)
I have two more novels which are going through a few editing cycles, hopefully I'll get them up and running before too long.
If anyone's interested in a more detailed blurb, check out the link. I'm offering free copies through Smashwords ... details are on my blog, Fentonton.
