KLANG: After docking in Penang, the world’s largest floating book fair onboard MV Logos Hope will be in Port Klang from Sept 29 until Oct 23.

MV Logos Hope will berth at the Port Klang Cruise Centre, Pulau Indah (formerly known as Star Cruises Terminal, West Port), on its maiden voyage around the world.

The fair will be opened to the public from 10am to 10pm from Tuesdays to Saturdays, and 3pm to 10pm on Sundays.

It will be closed on Monday. Tickets only cost RM1 and admission is free for children under 12 who are accompanied by an adult.

The book fair offers an expanded selection of over 5,000 books at affordable prices.

They cover a range of subjects including science, sports, hobbies, cookery, arts, medicine, languages and philosophy.

MV Logos Hope is operated by GBA Ships e.V. – an international, charitable organisation registered in Germany.

Most probably. I don't know any other book fair on board a ship that docks at M'sian ports other the one that sells mostly Christian literature. So unless you're a Christian, you're probably better off staying home.

In case anyone's wondering what Najibah referred to as something we have discussed before, here is the thread: Jualan Buku Atas Kapal. Siapa Pernah Dengar?

Even if it sells mostly Christian books, I still want to aboard it, just for the sake of being on a ship, hehe (never been on a ship before, only boats). 434 ft ship, waaa!

Aidura (sofira) | 1472 comments salam.

Banyak buku cerita untuk kanak-kanak termasuk Disney Collections ie. Toy story, Little Mermaid, Cars, Princess Collection etc.

Aidura (sofira) | 1472 comments @Kataklicik, harga buku yg dijual memang berbaloi.

50 UNITS = RM4
100 UNITS = RM8

http://www.omships.org/index.php?opti...

Bila En Khairul sebut banyak buku Kristian..saya agak terbantut sikit hasrat nak menjengah ke sana. Tapi macam Najibah kata Najibah wrote: "Even if it sells mostly Christian books, I still want to aboard it, just for the sake of being on a ship, hehe (never been on a ship before, only boats). 434 ft ship, waaa!", saya juga jadi teruja.

Tapi batal semula bila baca ini..The Ships Ministry began in 1970 as part of the global Christian training and outreach movement, OM International...betullah cakap En Khairul..I should not go..?

Terpulanglah.

ALLAH AKBAR!

(that takbir was sarcastic by the way)

message 20: by Julia (new)

Julia (juliamahir) | 4 comments Yup. memang banyak buku Kristian. Saya pergi tengok dan baru sedar banyak Biblical categorized books. Yg bahagian music pun semua CD Kristian. Sebab dia sebut pasal derma & all tapi tak sebut salur ke mana.

Tapi masa tu dah pergi dah pun kan, nak buat mcm mana kan. Tapi kalau nak menderma tu, pikir2 kan lah jugak ye.

Nsd | 1 comments I pity the Muslims here who get so freaked out with other religions and missionary groups. It seems that you guys don't have faith or trust in yourself and would think that any donations that go to other religions will cause you to commit the biggest sin ever. You're already doing it daily without even realising it. You should should stop using computers and technological stuff and live in jungles instead, because every single technological device has links to Israel and christian entrepreneurs. Bill Gates who is a Jew invented Windows and you Muslims are using it. I dare you to stop using it in the name of your religion!! Immature fools

NSD, your analogy is stupid. Technological advancements created by anyone is different with a book fair sponsored directly by a missionary group. Money spent on the book fair should by logic go to the group while I doubt profit for Windows goes directly to Israel.

And Bill Gates is of English and Scotch Irish stock. Not Jewish.

I foresee it coming since the first time Khairul H mentioned about the donation. Even though I believe NSD has every right to say what he/she thinks of it, but I still think he has no reason to pity us or be 'angry', tongue-lashing and all.

To NSD, it is not because we "don't have faith or trust in [our]selves" that we cannot offer donation to churches, but because according to Islam, Allah is one and only Him deserves to be worshiped, while by giving donation to churches, which don't believe in Oneness of Allah, it means that we also acknowledge indirectly that Allah is not the Only One that we submit to. It's very basic and touch on our principle of religion. That's why and it has nothing to do with our weak faith in ourselves.
