message 104: by Tess (new)

Tess i searched the meaning of your name and came up with this

DAPHNE
GENDER: Feminine
USAGE: Greek Mythology, English, Dutch
OTHER SCRIPTS: Δαφνη (Ancient Greek)
PRONOUNCED: DAF-nee (English), DAHF-nə (Dutch) [key]
Meaning & History
Means "laurel" in Greek. In Greek mythology she was a nymph turned into a laurel tree by her father in order that she might escape the pursuit of Apollo. It has been used as a given name in the English-speaking world since the end of the 19th century.

During the Tess season, the farmer's Tess was abundant and they managed to sell their Tess for a lot of money

*The above-mentioned word "Tess" is being used in place of harvest ;D

Wished-for Child is really nice, but I <3 Star Of The Sea"! that's beautiful!

The Mariana Shined up (down?) at us, and winked it's eye, as the waves crashed against our ship. The Mariana was the most natural wonder, also known as "The Heart Of The Oceans"

You really should sell that somehow! :O maybe you should write a book that way, or something like like you use names with awesome meanings to replace words (it may be hard and take awhile but i bet you could do it) and Star Of The Sea is beautiful! i'm jealous!

the oportunity to use all your creative talent on the dictionary and to became famous (yet still penniless) by writing the least boring and yet most enlightening dictionary ever! and plus you'll have lots of fun making it and then signing autographs ;D

message 124: by Tess (new)

Tess well, all that does sound pretty good but... you're going to have to include my dog.. he would come on the road with me and get a weekly dog bone :) (i am totally nuts and i just made myself laugh to no end)

message 125: by Mariana (new)

Mariana Graça | 99 comments I would write for free :D

message 127: by Jessica (new)

Jessica (j_p_higgins) omg a huge library with a really tall ladder like in movies would be so cool!! I don't care if I have an eReader, I still totally want that. Hmm... maybe I should turn my extra bedroom into that - I have an old stone 1930's house with tall 14 ft ceilings, I could totally make it look like that! lol - maybe after I finish writing the book and make some moolah.

Jessica (j_p_higgins) oh yea of course - an eReader totally pays for itself after just a few books. I ♥ my Kobo - I can even check out e-books from the library. I will never go back to paperback - and really I thought I would sort of miss having my precious pretty paperbacks.

message 141: by Mariana (new)

YES! with a ladder and a dim natural light, and words from books whispering to me, beckoning me to pick them up and flip through the gold, dusty pages ever so gently, the slight touch of my hand or the blow of my breath, like a soft call for help...:)
