Wow, guys! Way to keep the convo going with small talk! XD

And, Mal, in case you didn't know, I am the witty, amazing leader of this qroup! ALL HAIL ME! (And Ian Somerhalder, my God!)

BTW, guys, I haven't asked, do you think I should start a topic on celeb crushes? I wanna!

message 453: by Mal (new)

Mal (malxox) Lol hey :D
And Ian Somerhalder is pretty damn sexy, I must say, but...haha, I'm like totally in love with Tom Felton <3

message 454: by Jessica (new)

Jessica (j_p_higgins) if it features millions of Ian Somerhalder pics - YES!!

message 455: by Tess (new)

Tess Hi Mal & Hi Renee! :)

And thanks Jessica & Daphne school is important!

Jessica (j_p_higgins) i haven't really figured tumblr out, what do you do, just add pics you like?

message 461: by Tess (new)

Tess I followed you Mariana :)

You re-blog them Jessica :) so you follow people that post pictures you like and then when you see one you like click the reblog button! It really keeps me updated on when new Hunger Games trailers come out and stuff! I know it seems boring but it's hard to explain, it's really fun once you get one and start following people. (although i will warn you that sometimes someone you're following depending who you're following will occasionally post porn. :/ it's happened to me a few times i just unfollow them)

SERIOUSLY? THAT GOOD? NOW I WANNA WANNA WANNA WATCH IT!

message 466: by Jessica (new)

Jessica (j_p_higgins) saw hunger games yesterday - loved it!

message 467: by Renee (new)

Renee (thebookroyal) yes it was very good indeed :D i cried. and was really sad at how similar i looked like rue at that age. mostly because we had the same hair though. but yes, very very good movie and i am definitely getting the dvd. i dont care how old ill be when it is out. ill still get it

message 468: by Jessica (new)

Jessica (j_p_higgins) doesn't matter how old you are! I read that the audience this weekend was 56% age 25 and older! Sure some of that might be parents, but not all at that percentage. And I'm 25, i'm sure i'll get it.

message 469: by Renee (new)

Renee (thebookroyal) Whoa, I didnt know that :)

message 470: by Tess (new)

Tess Yeah, it doesn't matter how old you are! My Mom is 52 and she likes The Hunger Games.

Okay ^^

message 472: by Jessica (new)

Jessica (j_p_higgins) i can get the darn 52ish year olds in my life to pick it up! since the movie came out - or rather since they knew the movie was coming out - they all say 'eh, i'll just wait and see the movie and then think about it if I like it.' but as good as the movie is, it's just not the same emotion/intensity as the book and those people won't even read the first page since it wasn't their absolute favorite movie in the world :( eh, oh well, can't convince everyone, wish they would at least try it though!

Yeah, I totally get that. as i've seen this saying somewhere before. you should never judge the book by it's movie. because a lot of details get changed in the movie and it just rarely compares, as you've said. And I think the ones that wont bother to pick it up are ones that dont normally read as a hobby.

Jessica (j_p_higgins) that's just it, some of them are big time readers! that's why I don't get it. but... i guess they are not big time YA book readers and so they are not really familiar with dystopian either. oh well. i guess some people like to stay in their comfort zone, i wasn't sure about dystopia either until I tried it, and now I keep reading all dystopia stuff lately.

message 475: by Tess (new)

Tess awkward......

message 476: by Jessica (new)

Jessica (j_p_higgins) uh, spam.

message 477: by Tess (new)

That's true. Everyone has their type of book they like to read. That's the greatest thing about books. There is such an array of genres to chose from :)

message 480: by Jessica (new)

Jessica (j_p_higgins) what good dystopian stuff have you guys read lately (besides Hunger Games and Divergent)? I haven't had much time to read lately, but next week I need something to occupy me while I have to sit and wait around most of the day for something.

Hey Nicole! Welcome to DAPR! Yes, the girl thing is literally a stereotype, but we're proud of who we are! As Kesha once said "We R Who we R"

And I LOVE the Host, even though it wasn't a fave of mine, but still...even I can't wait for the movie! What about Avengers?
