I started thinking this summer I may need to move somewhere where it never gets above 80.

So a Jew for Jesus had stolen it, not your BIL. Did they ever catch the guy?

message 55: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) No, it was my brother-in-law. He was hanging out with a bunch of JFJs.

message 56: by Lobstergirl, el principe (new)

Lobstergirl | 24778 comments Mod
I was just joking. Did they arrest your BIL?

message 57: by Janice (new)

Janice (jamasc) I wanted to write "I organized it this way for my own edification."

Then I looked up "edification":
1. improvement, instruction, or enlightenment, esp when morally or spiritually uplifting
2. the act of edifying or state of being edified

It sounded right until I looked at the definition. I changed it to "purposes".

message 58: by Natalie (new)

Natalie (aquariusnat) The word necessary always tripped me up . And yes I just now looked it up before typing it here . LOL !

message 59: by Phil (new)

Phil | 11837 comments I'm sure that was neccesary necesary necessery prudent.

message 62: by Kevin (new)

Kevin (ksprink) | 11469 comments i always thought nonplussed meant the same as subtracted

message 63: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Subtracted is the same as underrated?

message 64: by Phil (new)

Phil | 11837 comments Underrated means it got a PG-13 when it should have been an R?

message 74: by Will (last edited Sep 24, 2011 08:21AM) (new)

Will Todd Yikes! Sorry about the confusion. Here's an explanation:

My pen name is "Will Todd", so Goodreads automatically lists my posts as written "by Will". Since I have an "Author Profile", I can't change this.

However, my real first name is Todd, so that's the way I sign my posts.

It also happens to tie in to playing around with The Truth, which is one of the themes of my first eBook.

In any case, you "Terminal Coffee" folks are the the only group to notice so far - kudos!

Nonplussed again,

Todd

P.S. @janine: You probably don't realize this, but the moniker "(t)odd" is something else I used in my first eBook. Double kudos to you!

message 75: by Félix (last edited Sep 24, 2011 08:49AM) (new)

I have a hard time with embarrassing. It seems like a lot of double letters, like vaccuummiing.

message 82: by Kevin (new)

Kevin (ksprink) | 11469 comments mine comment was meant to be a sort of joke. either didn't work or wasn't funny :)

Goodreads tells me that threads have twenty-some-odd new posts but when I arrive it is never that many.

Yeah, it's under discussion in Feedback group. No staff over the weekend to fix it, though.
