Carl Ashmore (carlashmore) | 213 comments Ha. :)

And Emma - the underwear queen? Where did that nickname come from?

message 352: by Carl (new)

Carl Ashmore (carlashmore) | 213 comments Just to let everyone know I've finished the second draft of TH3 today and it should be available on Kindle in the next few weeks, which will be over a month earlier than I had planned :)

As is tradition now with a TH release, if anyone wants their name (or the name of anyone they care about/child/accountant etc) put in the acknowledgements then now is the time to let me know...

Cheers,
Carl

message 360: by Carl (new)

Carl Ashmore (carlashmore) | 213 comments Can't promise that, Kay. I've certainly tried with it, and it is what I hoped it would be.

I'm putting the acknowledgements together today, so if anyone else has any names they'd like me to include (kids/grandkids etc.) then please let me know.xx

message 368: by Carl (new)

Carl Ashmore (carlashmore) | 213 comments There's no rush. I have to go and buy a toilet seat from B&Q. Sadly, I'm not joking. :)

message 369: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments Sent. Why do my emails make you need a toilet seat?

I'll get me coat!

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments I saw a toilet seat yesterday with a wolf on it. Lovely picture, but not really what I want on my toilet.

message 371: by Carl (new)

Carl Ashmore (carlashmore) | 213 comments Hi all,

I've not been round these parts for some time. But I did get that toilet seat :) How's everyone doing?

Can I just add that I'm sending out a fortnightly 'Time Hunters' newsletter so should anyone want to receive it then please leave an email addy or get in touch on carlashmore@mailcity.com

Hope everyone is well.
xxx

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Arrrgh! I totally forgot to mail you. Must do that now...

message 373: by Carl (new)

Carl Ashmore (carlashmore) | 213 comments Hiya, Ginger. That's great. How have you been keeping?xxx

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Up and down.. but more up than down at the moment.

message 375: by Carl (new)

Carl Ashmore (carlashmore) | 213 comments Ooh, I'm glad there's more up than down at the mo. Now what's the expendable redshirt moniker all about?

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Ah... that was a couple of days ago on facebook. I did this quiz about which Star Trek character I was, and thats the answer I got. I was NOT PLEASED!

Just got the 2 newsletters - thanks :)

message 377: by Carl (new)

Carl Ashmore (carlashmore) | 213 comments A pleasure, Ginger.

And you couldn't possibly be expendable. I did one of those things recently (which literary character), and came out a Gandalf. I'm much more like an orc.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Oh I think i did that one and came out as Galadriel. I was pleased about that one, but the star trek one brought me back down to earth.

message 379: by Carl (new)

Carl Ashmore (carlashmore) | 213 comments Which is ironic with it being Star Trek.

I should be writing now but I can't stop researching facial hair for my Movember challenge :)

Good on yer Carl - I hadn't heard of anyone taking up the Movember challenge this year so far!

message 382: by Carl (new)

Carl Ashmore (carlashmore) | 213 comments Ha. That's what I'm talking about :)

message 383: by Carl (new)

Carl Ashmore (carlashmore) | 213 comments And thanks, T4bsF. Yeah, I'm going to do it. I just need to find out if it has to be a straight tache or would a goatee do. Do you know?

I'm really not that familiar with the rules of the Mo Movement :)

T4bsF (Call me Flo) (time4bedsaidflorence) It can be any shape you like - but I dare say a psychologist might put his own spin on your choice!!!

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Oh heres a good one! But it may take more than a month...

message 386: by Carl (new)

Carl Ashmore (carlashmore) | 213 comments Ha@Ginger. Now that is impressive :)

Then maybe, T4bsF, I'll start with a goatee and work my way up to the Borat look .xx

T4bsF (Call me Flo) (time4bedsaidflorence) Now that is impressive - useful too! You could hand your knickers out to dry on that one!!

Is that a hairy chest he's got or a jumper?

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Looks like a hairy chest to me. Or he's a shaved bear!!

message 390: by Carl (new)

Carl Ashmore (carlashmore) | 213 comments That is the mother of hairy chests. Makes my effort look like a sprinkling of mixed herbs :)

And I don't wear knickers. I'm a pants man. All the way. And not the sexy kind either :)

Oh, and can I just mention again that I'm producing a fortnightly Time Hunters newsletter so if anyone wants to receive it could they leave their email or contact me on carlashmore@mailcity.com

message 391: by Carl (new)

Carl Ashmore (carlashmore) | 213 comments Oh, and can I say I've got a Free signed paperback copy of 'The Time Hunters and the Spear of Fate' to give away on the Goodreads Giveaway page. I hope you all enter :)

message 393: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments Hi Carl. Have you started working on Book 5? ;)

message 394: by Carl (new)

Carl Ashmore (carlashmore) | 213 comments Ha@Kath. Are you kidding me? I'm knackered! Seriously, I've decided to have a few weeks off to recharge the old batteries. However I have started story-lining it and, knowing me, I'll probably start it sooner than I should. :)

xxxx

message 395: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments I WAS kidding - but you can't stop now!

message 396: by Carl (new)

Carl Ashmore (carlashmore) | 213 comments Ha ha. You're so cheeky. How true.

Seriously, how do we all balance our writing, our relationships, our day jobs and our promotional activities? What a mare! :)
